April 2009

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page John Malloy has been reverted.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): \bblog(?:cu|fa|harbor|mybrain|post|savy|spot|townhall)?\.com\b (links: http://designinspiration.blogspot.com/2009/04/john-malloy.html). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 15:44, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:FLuX JohnMalloy.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:FLuX JohnMalloy.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 16:45, 21 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

March 2017

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Escape Orbit (Talk) 23:41, 13 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

FLuX

[edit]

Please don't change the page FLuX. There already exists an article for John Malloy, so FLuX has been written to redirect readers to it. You do not have to write a second article and Wikipedia does not permit two different articles about the same person, even if they go by different names.

Please also see what I noted above about writing autobiographies. The John Malloy article doesn't have many cites, and so is liable to have content removed. Wikipedia cannot simply rely on people on the internet claiming to be the person in question, it needs reliable sources. Thanks. --Escape Orbit (Talk) 00:00, 14 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

File:JohnMalloy.jpg listed for discussion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:JohnMalloy.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for discussion. Please see the discussion to see why it has been listed (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry). Feel free to add your opinion on the matter below the nomination. Thank you. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:13, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:JohnMalloy2.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Per c:File:FLuX John Malloy.jpg and User_talk:Wikinatz#March_2017. Uploader is seemingly the person depicted and as such, permission from the photographer is needed.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 01:13, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Caption added with the photographer’s credit, who has given full permission for use of this image. 2600:6C4A:7A7F:92C3:9865:2F5B:5534:4F97 (talk) 01:18, 6 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I added information that is true regarding the collections and galleries where FLuX's fine art has been exhibited and who he has collaborated with. None of it is SPAM and none of it is false, no more or less than the facts about his graphic novels. I can add additional references if necessary. I would like to understand why I was blocked and how I can add this information. Wikinatz (talk) 03:51, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Declining due to sock puppetry. 331dot (talk) 12:47, 21 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • The only topic you have edited about since you created this account in 2008 is Mr. Malloy. You even took a picture of him and he posed for you. What is your connection with him? 331dot (talk) 09:05, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked for sockpuppetry

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Wikinatz. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
