License tagging for Image:Geoff hurst world cup goal.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Geoff hurst world cup goal.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:05, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Jersey_eisteddfod.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please Do Not Remove AfD Notices

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. 50 Cent birth

Hi! I've noticed you've changed his birth date from 1976 to '75 (see the 50 Cent talk page under 'Birthday'). The most reliable source currently available should be used and a Rolling Stone magazine interview which states his birth should be a more reliable source than one like IMDB, which uses secondary info. See WP:RS. On another note, I've noticed that user SCB '92 has also made single edit changes for the date. Now I am by no means accusing you of using multiple accounts, but SCB '92 has edited very similar articles as you (hip-hop pages & soccer clubs). If it's not you, you have nothing to worry about. But just in case, Wikipedia:Sock puppetry (using multiple accounts to create the illusion of greater support for an issue) goes against the policy and can lead to a block if reported. Thanks! Spellcast 18:29, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Also, if you look at a review of his autobiography 'From Pieces to Weight' on Amazon, you'll see an editorial review of the book (Publishers Weekly) saying he was born on 1976. Unless more reliable evidence is given, it will stay as that. Thanks! Spellcast 15:05, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

As was I was browsing through my contributions, I realised I sent you messages. Just to let you know, 1975 was indeed correct the whole time. I didn't change it previously because I didn't see his arrest record here (ID: 94-R-6378). That interview (which is now wrong) was the most reliable source available to me at the time. And the people who supposedly reviewed the book must've got wrong info on the net. Anyway, happy editing. Spellcast 12:17, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Mazaradi Fox

A tag has been placed on Mazaradi Fox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Butseriouslyfolks 21:47, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from your own work

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Butseriouslyfolks 21:57, 28 February 2007 (UTC)

Buck the World

Please do not capitalize "the" in this title. Regardless of how Amazon.com is capitalizing it (Amazon not being a proper source anyway), Wikipedia has certain guidelines for naming albums, singles, book and film titles, etc. Please see WP:ALBUMS for more information. Thanks. - eo 21:13, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey, thanks for switching that back. I did not realize that you moved it using copy & paste.... just a word of advice - DON'T move pages that way - not good. It breaks up the edit history and you may have other editors and admins jumping on your back for that. In the future, if you wanna move something, use the "Move" function, located at the top of the article. The "Move" function moves the article and the talk page and automatically creates a redirect for you. See ya! - eo 21:23, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
The reason is because Wikipedia set up certain style guidelines for titles with prepositional words and articles such as "a", "an", "the", etc. If "the" was the first word in the title it would be capitalized but in this case it is not. It is explained here. - eo 21:29, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
XXL chose to capitalize "The" for their publication. Wikipedia style guides state that "the" should be lowercase. That is just how articles are titled on Wikipedia - don't know what else to tell ya. I'm honestly just trying to save you aggravation - trust me, if you move it to "The", someone else will undoubtedly move it to the lower-case version. - eo 22:32, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

An editor has nominated Extended Aftermath Entertainment family, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Extended Aftermath Entertainment family and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. G-Unit West

A tag has been placed on G-Unit West, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how G-Unit West is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:G-Unit West saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. re: 50 Cent images

Hi there. As I understand it, album and single images should not be used in discography pages per Wikipedia:Fair use criteria. I know that a lot of discographies have images already - however I've got a bunch of discog pages on my watchlist and I've noticed many of them having their images removed, either by editors or bots. So I suppose ultimately the goal is to comply with fair use rules and have all the images gone, except for within the articles about the particular album or single. - eo 11:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: 50 Cent discography

I asked an admin by the name of ShadowHalo if removing album covers on discography pages is valid. Although it is a disputed issue, if you look under 'Discographies' at Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/MUSTARD, it says it's unnecessary. Spellcast 16:22, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I'm afraid I have had to remove some of your contribution to Tim Westwood. I am sure that it was good intentioned but please participate in the talk page discussion before making disputed changes. In the case of the category about the birth date, we decided at some length to take the date out of the article at the current time due to a confusion about the actual fact. Per Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons, all information must be very carefully sourced before adding it to the article. In terms of the debate about his DOB, Escaper7 has put a lot of time into researching the evidence for this and we concluded that it was best not to add the date in until we could carefully reference the article and write a brief discussion about how it is disagreed. We had already received an email that may have come from a representative of Tim Westwood requesting that that 1957 date be removed and so we are going to make very sure that we reference it correctly before putting it back in. As an editor who is clearly interested in contributing to the article, I encourage you to make your feelings heard on the talk page and contribute to our discussion so that we can work out how best to proceed. But please don't keep adding stuff back in that has been removed by consensus at the talk page. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 19:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Unspecified source for Image:Eminem2004NBAFinals.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Eminem2004NBAFinals.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 21:07, 26 April 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Muchness 21:07, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:SamTheKid-Trabalha.ogg

Thanks for uploading Image:SamTheKid-Trabalha.ogg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 14:31, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Dangerous LLC

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Dangerous LLC, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Dangerous LLC seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Dangerous LLC, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 20:57, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Mugshot 50-Cent-a.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mugshot 50-Cent-a.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Aksibot 07:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Please stop reverting the template to the version with the underground/bootleg albums. Nobody needs to see what bootleg albums there are. Just keep to the basics.

50 Cent

Hi there. Is there a reason Jam Master Jay and Columbia keep being removed from the record labels in the infobox? We're documenting his history and not just keeping up with current events. If we were to only put the labels he's currently on as you say, does that mean we should remove Shady/Aftermath/G-Unit/Interscope when he retires? If you think it should be removed, please bring it up in the talk page. Thanks. Spellcast 23:28, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

Hey, what's your source for those new characters you added? Matthew 11:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

OK, well we need a verifiable secondary source (see WP:NOR). I've removed them from the article pending this. Matthew 12:01, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

The Black Wall Street Records

The other editors had sources for the members. They are not notable and thus the article was semi-protected due to vandalism and edit warring. I am just doing what an administrator is doing, Swajester will probably revert the edits himself if I don't. There is this whole discussion on this guy's talk page and one guy even got indefinitely blocked partly due to his involvement in the edit war. I strongly suggest you do not take any part in yet another edit war as you might be blocked. Don't get me wrong, I would like to see the roster there too, but if an administrator says we should not add them, then we must follow the rules (I think it has stuff to do with notability, we even deleted the Nu Jerzey Devil article). Feel free to help improving the article in other ways, like you did with the The Black Wall Street Journal Vol. 2 article (I think it was you, I don't remember). Thank you. --- Efil4tselaer: Resurrected 13:18, 9 June 2007 (UTC)

Also, if you think everything in that article is unsourced, simply add a {{fact}} template at the end of the unsourced statement. --- Efil4tselaer: Resurrected 13:25, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
