Edit Concerns

[edit]

Post 'em here. Unless you're a bot, then I guess just put them anywhere you like.

Your recent edits

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Offline harassment

[edit]

I've reverted your post at the Policy policy (not a typo) because it was off topic there, but here's the answer to your inquiry: See the Harassment policy, especially Wikipedia:Harassment#Off-wiki_harassment. But be sure to read all of it carefully so as to understand what we consider to be harassment before filing any complaints. Regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 21:04, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! This is helpful! WikiWikiWowWow (talk) 21:12, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Also read the section on WP:OUTING carefully in regard to what you do. If the user to whom you have reference has not identified himself with his real name or Twitter handle here at Wikipedia it's going to be very easy for you to get in trouble if you reveal it online here. There are ways, described in the harassment policy to report by email rather than posting it publicly. You should give careful consideration to using those methods if the editor has not already clearly outted himself/herself here. Regards, TransporterMan (TALK) 21:13, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I JUSTTTTT read that part. That sucks. I don't think most people realize they have recourse for things like this. I haven't been harassed, but just saw a particularly prolific member harassing others. Wish there was something we could do, but I guess not. Thank you so much for showing me this, though! At least I know what to do if it ever happens to me.WikiWikiWowWow (talk) 22:35, 28 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
