[edit]This account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because your username, WikiTransBot, contains the suffix "-bot", which is generally reserved for authorized bot accounts.
You are encouraged to choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. Alternatively, if you have already made edits and you wish to keep your existing contributions under a new name, then you may request a change in username by:
- Adding
{{unblock-un|your new username here}}
on your user talk page. You should be able to do this even though you are blocked, as you can usually still edit your own talk page. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page. - At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
- Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. The account is created upon acceptance, thus do not try to create the new account before making the request for a name change. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
- Adding
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Wifione Message 08:26, 8 September 2011 (UTC)Note
[edit]- Please request for permission at Bots/Requests for approval and then your block will be lifted in case approval is given. Thanks.Wifione Message 11:50, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- No need, this bot will not be editing anything. It's only reading data. Tino Didriksen (talk) 12:31, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not going to lift the block unless an approval is requested at the BAG, aka, the Bot Approval Group. I'm sorry. Kindly use the unblock request template to invite comments from other admins. Please write on my talk page directly in case you need further assistance in this or any other matter. My apologies for the inconvenience. Wifione Message 16:16, 8 September 2011 (UTC)
- You misunderstood - I don't want or need any edit block lifted. The bot should not be allowed to edit; it is purely for fetching articles. Tino Didriksen (talk) 19:27, 8 September 2011 (UTC)

- Thanks for the reply. Irrespective of the bot wishing to just fetch articles, if you want to run a bot, you must get it approved. May I sincerely request you to please apply for approval before you run this? I'm scaling this up to the BAG. Thanks.Wifione Message 18:27, 9 September 2011 (UTC)
