A tag has been placed on Frogtrade, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. This is your last warning. The next time you use Wikipedia for soapboxing, promotion or advertising, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.  7  12:25, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi.

Can we take a look at the entry below and please tell me where I am going wrong, I have not needed or wanted to be commercial, the entry is purely educational/informational.

If you look at RM or moodle who are similar companies, there pages are so similar I can not see where I am going wrong.

Why Not?

[edit]

(please note you can click on any of the words in blue for more details)

If you look at WP:WHYNOT many of your questions will be answered, but here are some points to note:

1) You appear to be conflicted because of your involvement with the company - please read through and fully understand WP:COI.

2) Your edits have an overly promotional tone, and are not neutral enough for an encyclopedia.

3) Some/many of your edits include copyrighted text, such as cut and paste from this site. Wikipedia has strict rules about protecting the rights of original copyright holders, even if you may be involved with the company. For this reason I have once again removed your draft here.

Hi again, I am hoping to get the frogtrade Wikipedia page up and obviously want to comply with your requests.

It is understandable that you do not want promotional informational on Wikipedia and in no way do I wish to infringe or flout this requirement.

I hold my hands up (obvious really) that I am an employee of Frogtrade (very new) but have worked with the software at a number of schools in the past in a non conflict basis.

It was deemed that I would be a good person at this stage to be the provider of the first edit for Frogtrade on Wikipedia.

Reading through the guidelines there is no doubt that Frogtrade have enough notoriety in their sector and history to be worthy of inclusion for anyone seeking to research the educational technology learning landscape in the UK and more wider or specifically Frogtrade as a company in their own right.

Keeping this entry encyclopaedic is exactly what we want to offer any visitors new to Frogtrade, or who want to learn more about the company.

Also removed overly copied text to comply with that requirement.

WikiFrow (talk) 16:11, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I have gone through the amendments and hopefully you will now find that there is no duplicate content and the page can be approved.

I appreciate your time here as this process has been quite tough to understand in many ways!

Regards

Frogtrade

I cut out material that isn't important and would likely harm the article standing in mainspace. I did take the liberty of moving it out of your userspace into the mainspace. Please let me know if you have any issues with deletion nomination with it and I will help you through the process. Hell In A Bucket (talk) 15:10, 25 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
