Word association games
[edit]Thank you for your contributions to the word association games on Wikipedia. It is important however that (as stated in the rules) you only add one word at a time to each game (except Sliding Doors, where you must add one word to the top and one word to the bottom). Once someone else has had a go you can then add another single word - but you always only get one turn, even if more than one person has contributed since you. This keeps the games interesting and enjoyable for the largest number of people for as long as possible.
To this end I've removed all but the first words you added to the games where you contribuited more than once. Thryduulf 08:22, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Another thought re: Atransferrinemia
[edit]Why don't you write up a blurb about your new article for the Did You Know? column on the front page? A good one would be: "Did you know that Atransferrinemia is a rare genetic disorder only known to afflict 8 people worldwide?" Or something like that. :) I'm sure you could come up with a better one. You can make the submission at Template talk:Did you know. Cheers, A Train take the 19:49, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- That is so cool, A Train. I would be more than happy to do that!! I am learning more and more about Wikipedia by the minute! haha...thanks, again! Cheers, and I look forward to having your assistance with my articles in the future :). WiiAlbanyGirl 23:27, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
In answer to your Quick Question
[edit]When editing pages, the contents box will not be found, as it is generated by the wiki page formatting. The only way to get something to show up in the contents box is to put it into a tag like == This ==, or for a smaller title: === like this === Hope this answers your question, and let me know if you need anything. Ard0 (Talk - Contribs) 23:54, 6 February 2007 (UTC)
- Although I figured it out by trial and error last night, this is exactly the answer I was looking for. I thank you so much! WiiAlbanyGirl 04:01, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Elaborate?
[edit]Could you elaborate on what a "content box" is? bibliomaniac15 00:59, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, lol. I figured it out. I meant when you have mulitple sections...such as == and a section...like symptoms, treatment, etc. There is a box on top, that will say 2. Symptoms. 3. Treatment. I originally thought that there was a code for this. After completing 2 articles, I now see that it automatically appears. Thanks! WiiAlbanyGirl 04:00, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
Another good article, WAG. (That's not a very felicitous abbreviation of your name, is it?) I thought I'd show you another new trick. Have a look at what I did with that external link in the intro paragraph in order to turn it into a footnote. You should be able to get the idea of what I did by editing the page to look at the markup. Nice contribution! A Train take the 16:03, 7 February 2007 (UTC)

An article which you started, or significantly expanded, atransferrinemia, was selected for DYK!
[edit]Thanks for your contributions! Nishkid64 03:03, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- THANKS SO MUCH! I am so excited. My first major article that I created was selected for DYK. Thanks for everything! Cheers! WiiAlbanyGirl 03:10, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
I decided to open up a discussion on deleting this article: Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Universal_genetic_code. Because a consensus is needed, I'm inviting all authors who have commented on the merger proposal to contribute there. Many thanks! -- Madeleine 02:03, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Speaking of odder... did you notice the deleted thread about the anon IP post to the article around midnight Sunday stating that the family emergency involved the death of his wife? This post precedes the police discovery by about 14 hours. Don't mention this on the article's talk page since it's only verifiable by looking at the article's edit history (it would be faster, actually, to look through the talk page history for the deleted thread) and counts as "original research." At least one editor has been blocked so far who disagreed. Anyhow, as a fan of the "odd" I thought you might be interested. Rklawton 19:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Nutritionist
[edit]I've reorganised the article as Ive been working on it for some time. the state of the article was previously poor but as nutritionist is not a legally protected term it is difficult to take all viewpoints into account. I've tried to make a basis for a bigger better article, --Dawesaudax 22:16, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
- hello Wiialbanygirl, i didnt take offence at all at all regarding the comments you made about the nutritionist article,i just had been planning on reorganising it before hand so when i saw your comment i acted on it. i am a university trained nutritionist myself and see my qualification as a useful thing and, as a wikipedian, wanted to define it well! youre doing organic chemistry at the moment-tough stuff!i just did an exam in gene technology there, also tough but interesting!, talk again --Dawesaudax 13:09, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
Joseph Mazzello
[edit]It's great to see your comments on Joseph Mazzello. However, Wikipedia's talk pages are limited to discussion about the article itself. For example, you can post your comments about necessary changes in the article there. Please use a fan site or IMDb for discussion on this person. I hope you understand and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. :) --Thorpe | talk 15:59, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- If you had noticed, I said that knowing him, I could be of valuable knowledge to add to the article. I could even have a Wikipedian interview me for information. Please understand that I am a respected contributor and am well aware of wikipedian rules. Thanks anyway. WiiAlbanyGirl 07:23, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Rock music WikiProject
[edit]I'd like to invite you to join the newly-formed Rock music WikiProject. There's alot of Rock-related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help us get this project off the ground and a few Rock music pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks! --Be Black Hole Sun (talk) 20:41, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Queen WikiProject
[edit]Hello, I am leaving you this message as part of a personal effort to revive the Queen WikiProject of which you are listed as a participant. If you are not interested in committing yourself to contributing to Queen related articles please go about removing yourself from the participants list on the project page. On the other hand if you are interested in the project and do wish to contribute, I encourage you to head over to the project's talk page to work towards outstanding tasks and share ideas on how Queen-related articles may be improved.
Thanks for reading this, and I look forward to your response. Such a legendary group deserves to be honoured with quality articles on Wikipedia and it is a great shame such a project has gone inactive.

Wiki Med
[edit]Hi
I'm contacting you because, as a participant at Wikiproject Medicine, you may be interested in a new non-profit organization we're forming at m:WikiMed. Our purpose is to help improve the range and quality of free online medical content, and we'll be working with like-minded organizations, such as the World Health Organization, professional and scholarly societies, medical schools, governments and NGOs - including Translators Without Borders.
Hope to see you there! Anthonyhcole (talk) 05:29, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)
[edit]The Wikipedia Library gets Wikipedia editors free access to reliable sources that are behind paywalls. Because you are signed on as a medical editor, I thought you'd want to know about our most recent donation from Cochrane Collaboration.
- Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization that conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.
- Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account.
- If you are still active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

A cup of coffee for you!
[edit]Hello! I saw your post at Caesarean section about wanting to help develop it. Perhaps we could collaborate. I develop Wikipedia's health information for a nonprofit health organization and I ought to do more for maternal care articles, but this field is difficult for me. If you have advice for rewriting them then almost certainly your vision would be a better resource than anything we already have. If you can help with the content side of things, then whatever you imagine I can help integrate it into Wikipedia.
I live in New York. If you are ever in the city then let me know and perhaps we could meet sometime. We could also chat virtually anytime and perhaps I could give you a tour of what we are already doing with maternal health. This really is a big problem. By the traffic reports I see, these articles are among the most popular on Wikipedia and I regret not serving better quality information for such a large audience demanding this. Hello User:Bluerasberry - are you still interested in meeting up to talk about Wiki articles? WiiAlbanyGirl (talk) 16:16, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- WiiAlbanyGirl Yes! Email me if you like. I just sent an email through your Wikipedia email address. Blue Rasberry (talk) 17:03, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
- Hello, 3 weeks ago Wikipedia sent me a notice that you emailed me but I did not find any email. I will message you by email. Sorry for the late reply. Blue Rasberry (talk) 08:52, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
Hi WiiAlbanyGirl, I have just tried to e-mail you via Wikimedia, but it bounced back. If you're around and not busy, would you mind dropping me an e-mail? It's a question about epidemiology. I got your name from WikiProject Medicine. Many thanks, SlimVirgin (talk) 17:54, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi SlimVirgin - Sorry that you tried to email me about 6 months ago but it bounced back :(. Are you still in need of collaborators? I would still be interested! WiiAlbanyGirl (talk) 16:15, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite
[edit]Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:08, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
