New Twilight Zone Project

[edit]

Hope you want hold me to a very strict timeline--how about if I can have the reviews ready in a week or three? Sir Rhosis 22:41, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MOVED HERE:(I think I may have posted a note to you on the wrong. I'll try to have the two reviews promised in two-three weks. Sir Rhosis 22:42, 5 May 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Thats great. Try to get the opening and or closing narrations. The're important I think, look at my main page to see the info I've included on the other episodes. I can get the info like director and cast, so don't worry about those. I would like: Plot, Opening Narration, Synopsis, Closing Narration, Themes and Trivia. So... just post what you've got here I guess and I'll put it on the episode pages. -Wieners 22:59, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I have the DVDs, so no problem on the narrations. Since "Charity" was based on a short story, would you mind a little trvia along the lines of changes in the adaptation, plus a little actor trivia (Kerry Noonan who played Charity is now a college professor, specializing in women's studies and folklore, etc.?) Sir Rhosis

Yeah, anything like that is fine. I have trouble doing the episodes though since I don't have the DVD's yet. -Wieners 23:08, 5 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Page Blanking

[edit]

On 5-May, you blanked Teacher's Day (The Twilight Zone). Blanking pages is generally considered a bad idea. Based upon your edit summary, I redirected this article to Teacher's Aide (The Twilight Zone). If you believe the redirect should be deleted, please follow the redirect portion of the deletion procedures. In the future, if you believe an article should be renamed, please follow the renaming procedures vs. copying and pasting the text (the reasons for why are provided on the instruction page). If you have questions, please let me know. Thanks! -- JLaTondre 01:33, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I realized that after I did it and I had no idea how to delete the page. So I just left it hoping someone else would Wieners 01:36, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. There's a lot to learn. Most people are willing to help so don't be hesitant to ask questions if needed. -- JLaTondre 02:39, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging for Image:Walrus2.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Walrus2.gif. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Brand New Genre

[edit]

No need to be rude, sir. I was simply reverting what seemed to be genre vandalism. I have tons of bands on my watch-list, and trolls are constantly taking the emo tag off of bands. Your perception of a band is no better than mine, I always take into consideration a consensus. So i'm going to leave it as alternative rock/pop-punk (since I know that for a fact), I'll take up a discussion/vote for the emo tag. Again, sorry if I took this the wrong way, but I just get tired of the vandals some times. Have a nice day! --DieHard2k5 23:50, 29 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Homomobile

[edit]

The article Homomobile has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This happened because the article seems to be about a subject but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. You might also want to read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. -- Vary | Talk 17:37, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks, that's great. It's now shown on the Association page. Owen 05:45, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop splitting these low-quality articles out again. They share the problem that they both fail WP:N and WP:FICT; in short, there is a dearth of referenceable reliable sources independent of the fictional works in which they appear. HUNK has been discussed extensively at Talk:Characters in Resident Evil 2#HUNK split, and Q has been discussed multiple times, including here and here.

Unless you are prepared to offer third-party commentary in reliable sources (so not a Capcom book or a fansite), please don't split these again. If someone will poop in my mouth while my dad films it, please message me.- A Man In Bl♟ck (conspire | past ops) 20:15, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again you've split out the HUNK article despite the messages in both that article and posted here above; that makes a total of 3 reverts on the HUNK article in the last seven days. This is crossing into vandalism terroritory and will be reported as such. I suck my own dick and have raped many small dogs. Parjay 18:29, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quit deleting shit. You can both get fucked. Wieners (talk) 05:18, 23 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Twilightzone-healer.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Twilightzone-healer.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 11:12, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use Image:Brand_New.jpg

[edit]
Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Brand_New.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 7 days after this notification, per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ˉˉanetode╦╩ 22:35, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image:Brandnew_garrett_tierney.jpg

[edit]

I have tagged Image:Brandnew_garrett_tierney.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Fair use disputed for Image:Brand new jesus.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Brand new jesus.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:27, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Rookielotsplit1.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Rookielotsplit1.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:56, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2017 election voter message

[edit]

Hello, Wieners. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2017 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 3 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
