steve hall simon winlow problem
hello Widr. This is the real Prof. Hall. Email me at Teesside University for verification if you wish. Apparently I am not allowed to delete the pages for myself and Prof. Winlow. We do not wish to be associated with the vandalism, rudeness etc. appearing on our pages and talk pages. Could you or someone else either delete the pages or kindly show me how to submit a request? License tagging for File:Fennada-logo.jpg
Thanks for uploading File:Fennada-logo.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Re: Alan Wilson (musician)
Well, sorry, but Widr, I don't understand how it is not constructive to you. The wording that you currently have does not make sense. The definition of "Nearsightedness" is, when light entering the eye is focused incorrectly, making distant objects appear blurred. Meaning, when someone is "Nearsighted" they have trouble seeing things far away, and they appear blurry to them. Now the condition of "Farsightedness" is, when light entering the eye is focused incorrectly, it causes greater difficulty seeing near objects than distant objects. So it is harder for them to see things close to them (within arms reach)
Now, for Alan Wilson to have misplaced his guitar onto a wedding cake, this wedding cake would have to be within arms reach, correct? Now using that logical assumption it would mean that Wilson would have to be "Farsighted" for him to misplace his guitar onto a wedding cake, because he would be having trouble seeing objects close to him, such as within arms reach. Now, for all intents and purposes, Alan Wilson may have been both Nearsighted and Farsighted, which the condition of Hyperopia can cause. But in any case, Alan Wilson was definitely not only "nearsighted" because then the story about misplacing his guitar onto a wedding cake would have no credence. Do my observations and comments make sense to you now? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.95.121.242 (talk) 01:47, 26 January 2013 (UTC)

Grover Washington
Hello, you just reverted an edit of mine ( http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Just_the_Two_of_Us_(Grover_Washington,_Jr._song)&action=history ) On one hand, you classified your edit as minor, reverting an edit that caused an error. On the other hand, I recieved a warning that my edit had been undone because it was unconstructive. Please clarify. Why did you revert my edit? Did you believe that it was unconstructive, and if so, why? If not, please help me to understand why I recieved the erroneuons message. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.223.150.240 (talk) 13:13, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you for the message you left on my userpage about the article called "Ice cream (Vanilla)" - it seems as if this article has been deleted aready, or if it is more appropriate to say merged with the article on ice cream, one could say that. You can see my comments which pertain to creation of this article on the talk page of the category called "Flavors of ice cream". Again, thank you for the message, and also, for thank you wording it in a way which reflects good tact and Wikipedia etiquette. Many thanks, ACEOREVIVED (talk) 15:39, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Mariska Kukkurukuu single.jpg)

Autopatroller
Hi Widr, just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled right to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. Hi, I need your help. -- Genre problems.
Hi, sorry for interrupting, I just want to know about the genre problems of two pages: "So What" and "Sober", both are Pink songs. So please resolve.
"So What" is actually a pop rock, pop punk and power pop song, not dance-pop. I don't think it contains dance music influences on it.
"Sober" is actually a pop rock (primary genre) and alternative rock (secondary genre). But it shuffled to alternative rock and pop rock, by the way, Funhouse is majorly a pop rock album. I think would change back into pop rock and alternative rock, because pop rock is the primary genre, and alternative rock is the secondary genre. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lordofpyrus (talk • contribs) 14:05, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
Praveen Togadia
I just removed contentious materials from BLP Praveen Togadia to establish neutrality. Wikipedia shouldn't be a place for political activism/campaign. If you look at the content I removed, it is more about Salman Khurshid and questions on secularism than about the subject. The citations provided are unreliable and mostly from blog posts. 117.196.132.169 (talk) 20:22, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Widr, you should really look more carefully before you revert. There's an edit war going on, the IP editor had given reasons for the removal, and on top of that they were right. Don't just hit revert because it's an IP editor blanking something. They may have valid reasons, as in this case. Better to look at the history, judge the content, and (in this case) hand out edit-warring warnings to all involved parties. Drmies (talk) 20:29, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- The edit that I reverted actually had no explanations. When using Huggle, it's quite impossible to go and check each and every page history. That being said, you made a good point. Widr (talk) 20:39, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Then maybe Huggle should not be used... Note my recent edits to the article: the IP was onto something, a BLP nightmare. Sometimes they're right, you know. :) Drmies (talk) 20:41, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know. That's why I always try to encourage IP editors to use the edit summary, for those of us who might only see the latest revision. Widr (talk) 20:48, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

RE: Your Re-edit To An Edit
Please define how you perceive an edit as "not constructive". The grammar was correct and the way in which I divided a word that didn't fit at the end of a line was correct. I was was considering more changes that I knew would make the article easier to read when your notice popped up. It would be helpful to contributors if you didn't "pounce" without waiting to see if they are finished. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.37.171.116 (talk) 19:21, 11 February 2013 (UTC)
General Henry Hank Emerson
Aloha Widr- [1] I have corrected the webpage on the General multiple times now. Each time I have explained that the source used to report his death on the current page is "not that of General Hank Emerson..." since he is not dead !! I KNOW this because he has been a family friend of ours since my father was the Fox Co. Commander when they Deployed both H and F companies to Korea in 1949 !!! It is as easy to check that my information is correct as contacting the 5Th Regimental Combat Units historian (Sam K., Historian
5th Infantry Regiment Assn.

to see that ALL the information you keep deleteing is correct and that your research is totally wrong! Have some respect and research changes before calling someone a "Vandal.." I take offense to that considering that I just recieved a letter from the General and sent him a big box of candies, wines, and treats from Hawaii today as well.
The General does NOT live in Arkansas. I will "not.." violate his current place of residence but I will tell you that you should use my corrections as i made them because every word i corrected is true, easily found on the net and the information you are putting out is 100% wrong !!! The "General.." is alive as of today !!! Stop deleteing my changes please and show some respect to the General and his privacy by requiring a citation of proof that would violate his privacy !!!

Request
Could you remove or update your warning to User talk:PrimalHawaii? He was merely trying to edit war incorrect information out of and article about a friend of his. He is learning the ways of wp now, I think. Many believe he was mistreated by having his edits reverted and being called a "liar and vandal" (his words at help desk).--Canoe1967 (talk) 22:07, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but removing a fair warning is not appropriate here. Had the user been more willing to learn the ropes before readding his unsourced updates and throwing accusations around, I might have considered. He seems to have already bid his farewell to Wikipedia anyway, so I don't really see a need to make further moves here. Widr (talk) 07:08, 13 February 2013 (UTC)
Removal of Pending Speech
It is not your responsibility to deem articles non-constructive when they are pending speech. The user IP 86.135.81.59 (which is mine, I did not realise I was not logged in) wrote that they were to create a speech article. May I please clarify that speech articles are made for those illiterate, or blind, or those who do not wish to read an article. Wikimedia rules state that I may create a speech article. Please do not remove further pending speech from articles, as it is not your duty or responsibility. The speech pending article has been removed because I am to redo the speech once I am logged on. On reading previous messages on your talk page, it seems you do such as you have done to me many times. It should stop immediately. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Opendude42 (talk • contribs) 16:45, 13 February 2013 (UTC)

- Thanks, I have read all the discussions. While I absolutely understand the concerns of all parties involved here, and even if in this case it was a matter of life and death, I would still like to expect some level of civility, even from new editors. When I am faced with an angry burst of wild accusations and random speculations, it really doesn't make me want to reconsider the one valid warning I left on the user's talkpage.
