Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from J (rapper), a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Ironholds (talk) 02:08, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with J (rapper). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Ironholds (talk) 02:38, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on J (rapper) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thank you.

The article WJ Entertainment has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 03:14, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Before attempting to recreate the article, please explain here how J is a notable musician and what reliable sources will back that up. Please note that YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, and other self-published sources are not reliable for this purpose. —C.Fred (talk) 03:28, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked

[edit]

You were asked to explain how Jay/J the rapper is a notable musician. Instead of engaging in discussion, you continued to create articles about him. The articles did not contain a shred of an assertion that Jay is notable. Further, based on your name, it is possible that you have a conflict of interest with the subject.

The key issue right now is that you have persisted in creating the articles without any discussion. To prevent further creation of inappropriate pages, your account has been blocked for 48 hours. During this time, you may not create articles, edit existing articles, or engage in any conduct on Wikipedia except for discussion on this page, your talk page.

I will be watching your talk page for the duration of the block, as will other editors. I encourage you to review some of the following guidelines during your block:

After reading them, I invite you to ask here any questions you have about the guidelines. We will be glad to explain either why an article on Jay cannot be created until he meets the notability guidelines or what independent evidence you must provide to create an article about him. However, the unchecked creation of articles about him is disrupted, and that is why I took the step of blocking your account. —C.Fred (talk) 14:19, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing, for a period of 48 hours, for persistent creation of inappropriate articles. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.
