[edit]Welcome to the Wikipedia, Whaleto! And thanks for helping intone an informed note on the Wiki's medical articles. Hope you enjoy editing here and becoming a Wikipedian! Here are some perfunctory tips to hasten your acculturation into the Wikipedia experience:

- Always keep the notion of NPOV in mind, be respectful of others' POV, and remember your unique perspective on the meaning of neutrality is invaluable!
- If you need any help, post your question at the Help Desk.
- Explore, be bold in editing, and, above all else, have fun!
Some odds and ends: Boilerplate text, Brilliant prose, Cite your sources, Civility, Conflict resolution, How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Pages needing attention, Peer review, Policy Library, Utilities, Verifiability, Village pump, Wikiquette, and you can sign your name on any page by typing 4 tildes: ~~~~.

I have moved to close the RfC before it turns into the usual cesspit. Since you have apparently stopped adding your sites to the project, there appears to be no pressing need to escalate at this point. There are reports of attacks on Talk pages and your websites against other editors; I presume you know that personal attacks are banned, whether on Wikipedia or externally. I have not seen the edvidence myself so I make no judgment here, I'm just ensuring you know. Just zis Guy you know? 19:22, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
- John, I note that you are removing the attack pages from your site, which is good. Please ensure that you remove all pages referring to Wikipedia editors, your comments regarding other editors should be adressed via Talk pages. Just zis Guy you know? 11:35, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Archive
[edit]John, would you mind archiving some of your old Talk please? Edits are not working right.
Also per your last comment, I'd suggest that you don't make your behaviour conditional on that of others; if there are tendentious edits by another user you are best advised to report them factually and neutrally on the noticeboard or on my Talk. Just zis Guy you know? 22:44, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]Thank you for updating your User page to be more friendly! InvictaHOG 00:17, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
[edit]Thanks for removing the attacks on outside sites. I don't ever intend my edits to be destructive or POV, if that is ever their effect, then let me know and I will do my best to see things through other eyes. I try to remove POV when I recognise it, regardless of whether I agree with it or not. But I deal with facts, and facts that are inconvenient ar the most interesting and challenging, I'm not in the business of suppressing them. If I can find time, I will help to formulate challenges to accepted views as rigorously as possible.Gleng 08:13, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
Nomination of Gerhard Buchwald for deletion
[edit]Hi, I've nominated the above article for deletion. The person described is not relevant in the medical field, but also not relevant in other regards. His protests against vaccination are not that prominent at all. Regards, --Biologos 11:43, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism to user pages
[edit]John, the fact that CDN99 has left does not make it permissible for you to vandalise his userpage.[1] This is behaviour that can lead to banning. JFW | T@lk 23:06, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Glad you are still tagging me, so you can see a decent Martin Walker page www.whale.to/b/walker_h.html
In fact I only noticed your ongoing presence as a result of the Martin Walker vote; I cannot be bothered to "tag" you (whatever that means). I have no desire to start reading your website; Walker is a conspiracy theorist like so many others. JFW | T@lk 21:40, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Nomination of Charles Pearce for deletion
[edit]Hi, I've nominated the above article for deletion. As you may have seen, I strongly supported the inclusion of William Tebb and expanded the article, but sources are very thin on Pearce, which I think reflects a much lower level of notability. Gordonofcartoon 21:33, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Survey request
[edit]Hi, Whaleto I need your help. I am working on a research project at Boston College, studying creation of medical information on Wikipedia. You are being contacted because you have been identified as an important contributor to one or more articles.
Would you will be willing to answer a few questions about your experience? We've done considerable background research, but we would also like to gather the insight of the actual editors. Details about the project can be found at the user page of the project leader, geraldckane. Survey questions can be found at geraldckane/medsurvey. Your privacy and confidentiality will be strictly protected!
The questions should only take a few minutes. I hope you will be willing to complete the survey, as we do value your insight. Please do not hesitate to contact me or Professor Kane if you have any questions. Thank You, BCproject (talk) 08:17, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello Whaleto! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Archie Kalokerinos - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Gerhard Buchwald - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Alan Cantwell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion nomination of John Scudamore (Creator of website whale.to)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on John Scudamore (Creator of website whale.to) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. GILO A&E⇑ 14:16, 21 August 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
