[edit]Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:
Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)
I noticed your recent edit to All Things Bright and Beautiful (album) does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.
Edit summary content is visible in:
Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. Thanks! Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:08, 18 September 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 19
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Vanilla Twilight, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ambient. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

[edit]Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Mac Miller, have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 22:08, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
October 2016
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to change genres without discussion or sources, as you did at Kristin Kontrol, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 05:38, 10 October 2016 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on The 1975 . Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. clpo13(talk) 22:40, 12 October 2016 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at xx (album) and Coexist (album). Dan56 (talk) 18:16, 15 October 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
[edit]Hello, Westin.payne. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

"We"
[edit]For your information, "we" are the ones who are constantly reverting you because you make poor arguments for your edits, and you constantly add them without sources, and rarely (but sometimes) include a summary with it. Nobody agrees with you. Stop warring over adding unsourced genres. This is why you were blocked a few weeks ago. dannymusiceditor Speak up! 18:19, 23 January 2017 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you change genres in pages without discussion or sources, as you did at I See You (The xx album) and Death of a Bachelor. Request reason:
It seems that I have been blocked for quite some time and I would like my account back to use at my university for a project. Thank you. Westin.payne (talk) 04:38, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
Decline reason:
That's all well and good. Trouble is you have been blocked for making unsourced edits and genre warring. We need some indication that such disruption and any disruption I don't know about will not recur. Now as to the university project, there is no indication that I see that you are part of a class via Wikipedia:Education program. I strongly urge your instructor to coordinate any educational activities involving editing Wikipedia through them. Before you proceed further with that, you need to go through our training for students. . Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. -- Dlohcierekim (talk) 05:06, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
