Respondent's reply from Wesley Fricks https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Be_bold Note:

As the entrustee of the Ty Cobb Legacy, I cannot allow inaccurate, degrading or non factual material that we consider inappropriate or damaging to his legacy to be actively made available for public view. Ty Cobb's official lifetime batting average recognized by Major League Baseball, Ty Cobb and Elias Sports Bureau, the official statistician for Major League Baseball, is in fact .367 and NOT .366. His lifetime total of hits is as it has always been at 4,191 and not 4,189.

SARB, or Society For American Baseball Research is in no capacity what-so-ever an entity of Major League Baseball and do NOT have the authority to change the rulings of officials of Major League Baseball. They brought their claim before the MLB's Official Records Committee on Saturday April 13, 1981 and their claim failed to meet the requirements necessary to convince MLB to change the records, but yet, they continue to present the inaccurate stats and records in a rogue and unauthorized capacity. We will not allow this assault on Ty Cobb's legacy - period! — Preceding unsigned comment added by WesleyFricks (talkcontribs) 14:32, 13 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"The ref" (I assume they are talking about Baseball-Reference) does not hold any official capacity with Major League nor are they the official statistician for Major League Baseball. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WesleyFricks (talkcontribs) 01:30, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ty Cobb aggression[edit]

Dealing with your type of aggression is beyond the scope of the Wikipedia Community. Please address your aggression toward legal@wikimedia.org

There is more information for contacting the Foundation here.

You might have discussed content on the article talk page or followed the dispute resolution processes. As you have taken this bellicose approach, you will remain blocked from editing till the legal threat is withdrawn or the matter otherwise resolved. Hope this helps.-- Dlohcierekim (talk) 19:16, 14 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
