Zain,

I am doing something wrong, my contribution is made and I saved the page. But after a week it still does not appear on the wikipedia search.

Must is upload the file to a spoecific addresss or email it to someone. The help files are not clear on what to do.

Please excuse my ignorance.

Hi Werner. When you click on the "user page" tab above, it takes you to your user page which wikipedia users generally use to say something about themselves. In your case, it's the article you want to create. In order to get the article into wikipedia you need to move your user page to wikipedia article namespace. To do this, go to your user page and click on the "move" tab at the top. Under "To new title", type in the name you want the article to have (which I presume is ".458 Express"). Also give a reason in the other box. And make sure to untick the box that says "Move associated talk page" so that your user talk page (this page) doesn't get moved as well.
But I should, in good conscience, advise you to first have a look at WP:YFA and WP:N. The wikipedia admins delete many many articles for failing to comply with WP:N. Btw, I'm not sure if you noticed it but your question at the New contributors' help page received a few replies.
And I fully agree that the help pages are of little help tp people who don't already have a good understanding of using wikipedia and your confusion is quite understandable. But you'll get used to it. Best, Zain Ebrahim (talk) 09:10, 26 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Move" tab

thanks for the information. I also had it that I must do the "move". However on my user page, the article appears as written, but no "move" tab is on the page?

Can you advise?

My apologies, Werner. I'd forgotten that one needs to be autoconfirmed in order to move pages (you tend to forget these things). I believe you need to make ten edits to actual articles to become autoconfirmed. No worries, I could move it for you, if you want. I really would like you to read WP:YFA and WP:N if you haven't done so already. An article needs to assert notability to remain in Wikipedia - the wikipedia admins delete many articles for failing to be notable. Maybe you should do more work on that article while it is in your user page before I move it? Do you want me to move it anyway? Zain Ebrahim (talk) 10:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I will add some more detail to the article and follow the Index proforma's. Kindly move it as I do not want the facts around the .458 Express distorted and I will start working on my additions straight away.
