Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:Naderjamie6 per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Naderjamie6. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Why am I blocked? I work with a few other Kurdish friends here at our local library, and together we mostly edit Kurdish content. I'm no sockpuppetry of anybody. There has been some mistake. Like others, I appeal on Kurdish pages not to be deleted. Doing that make me a sockpuppet? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wendy2024 (talkcontribs) 19:19, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Unambiguously  Confirmed socking. The given explanation is not plausible. Spicy (talk) 21:44, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

@Izno: Does the technical evidence indicate that the above is plausible? — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 04:52, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry to interject but the excuse that this user is using is the oldest in the book. If you look at their edit summaries, it's quite clear that they are the same person. For example, Wendy, Joreannorde, Nader. Looking at their comments in the AfD, I find it hard to believe that they are different people. At the very least, this is coordinated WP:MEAT. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:34, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No we are not the same people, we are a group of friend part of the Kurdish Wiki volunteer. We might not speak perfect English, but we do use Google Translate when making mistake to correct it. And we went and left comment on those Kurdish pages to defend them, because they are targeted for deletion by the same user (NameGame), that user is an Iranian nationalist that go around deleting Kurdish pages. I beg of you to go and look at his activity, he must have nominated dozens of Kurdish related pages in that past month, please look at his activity, he target Kurdish pages, seem to have some kind of hatred against Kurds. So as a group, we tired to defend some of these pages, but you guys blocked us. We gather at our local library and have meeting on daily bases. What is wrong if we contribute to Kurdish pages or try to protect them from deletion? Don't we have right to at least give our opinion without getting blocked? Wendy2024 (talk) 11:28, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware that this sort of excuse is the oldest in the book, which is why I wanted to know a bit more about the technical data. But I think that the only appropriate reviewer here is going to be a CU, based off Izno's description. And, for that reason, I'll remove this from "on-hold" and let someone else take a look at it. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 20:30, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Red-tailed hawk, I took a look. This is as  Confirmed as  Confirmed gets. The only way the library explanation would be plausible is if the library only had a single computer and they and their friends all had to take turns (and it took them less than a minute to do so). Spicy (talk) 20:37, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, in that case, this seems like an obvious decline. — Red-tailed hawk (nest) 20:39, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How would you know how a library work here in Kurdistan? You go by your imagination, no proof, making unjust decision. We will not give up on our right if we have to go to court and sue every single one of you for this crime, and yes, it is a crime and unjust. Bunch of of you taking over Wiki which is suppose to be for everyone, patrolling it like a gestapos, blocking and banning people. There must be some justice in this world, and I will find it if I end up spending my life here appealing this blocking and exposing you people. Wendy2024 (talk) 22:32, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
By what rule and regulation are you blocking us? You need to provide Wiki clause relating to your decision. Where does Wiki state how a local library here in Kurdistan work? How many computer we have? Please explain yourself. Wendy2024 (talk) 22:40, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear @Red-tailed hawkRed-tailed hawk, thanks for giving your time to at least read my message. I don't know how these messages work, not tech savvy, all I can do is write here a reply and have you could see it. Please read this message I wrote to @Izno, please know, we are not the same people, and we have not violated any rules on Wiki, we don't deserve to be blocked because we share same IP address or we as a group try to defend Kurdish pages from deletion. We are a group of friend part of the Kurdish Wiki volunteer. We might not speak perfect English, but we do use Google Translate when making mistake to correct it. And we went and left comment on those Kurdish pages to defend them, because they are targeted for deletion by the same user (NameGame), that user is an Iranian nationalist that go around deleting Kurdish pages. Dear @Red-tailed hawk and @Izno, please look at all the following pages that are all nominated by "NameGame" to be deleted, and they are all related to Kurdish culture, history, films, filmmaker. This user go around deleting Kurdish pages, that is why we as a group tried to respond to his deletion request and stop it:
Name Game past activity on requesting to delete Kurdish related pages. Wendy2024 (talk) 11:40, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Red-tailed hawk the data from the log does not have sufficient fidelity. What I did observe was multiple instances of logout followed by login of a different account on the range I did check on a single device. And it was a substantial range, to be clear, it was not a single IP or small range. Which makes it unequivocally previously undisclosed meatpuppetry and indistinguishable from sockpuppetry.
I would suggest another checkuser verify my results with a particular eye to the specific addresses these accounts were mutually spotted on. Izno (talk) 18:18, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
We use two different laptop with the same IP address to log in, it is a local library. This seem like spying and clear case of censorship, banning users because they use same IP address and same device, so any schools and library now can be banned. This is the reason more and more people are staying away from Wiki, it has become a place in which people are blocked and banned based on which IP address they use, how many laptop used, etc. Instead of what they contribute, what they say, and giving them a voice. No wonder there is a big backlash against Wiki all over the place. Imagine having people contribute to this place, only their page deleted, them banned and blocked because someone does not like them.
And you never answered the real issue as to why this user, "NameGame", keep deleting Kurdish pages and reporting them. You take side with those who delete content, instead of those who create them. Just check the page of this user, and see what he does, only report Kurdish pages for deleting: User contributions for NameGame
So now there are police patrolling Wiki and helping those who destroy it while blocking those who contribute. Wendy2024 (talk) 18:54, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please investigate this user (NameGame). Looking at his history of contribution, just in the past days, he has nominated dozen of Kurdish related pages to be deleted. He give reason either in Persian language, or in one line English and it seem he vandalizing and targeting Kurdish page:

Request reason:

I'm requesting that my account and my other Kurdish friend account be unlocked, we are banned and blocked because we use two different laptop in our local library during our group meeting as Wiki Kurdish group, all we did was try to appeal for Kurdish pages not to be deleted, but instead, we we accused of socketing, of having same IP, called all kind of name, got banned and blocked by people who have no idea how life is here, how public library work, what kind of limited resources we have. This is not the Wiki that used to be, a free place for all, now bunch of gestapo are taking over banning/blocking people right and left, and deleting articles based on their prejudice. If there is any Karma in this world, any justice, those who responsible for banning us will face justice Wendy2024 (talk) 22:37, 28 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Now I'm been clearly threaten to "retreat" my right to go to court and appeal for justice. This is a clear case of extortion, I'm threaten to retreat my right in exchange to get my and our block removed.
I will go to court and get my right and the right of all our friends at Kurdish Wiki group, for all our IP address from our library are blocked, and all our users are banned or blocked. And we will go to court in US, in the State of New York and will join a a Class Action Settlement if our IP is not removed from being banned and our block not removed, and we will demand the release of all name and IP address of those responsible for this injustice committed against us. For we have done nothing that goes against Wiki rules and policy, nothing, but we are blocked right and left and our articles deleted because they are Kurdish.
Injustice has been committed against all of us, we are all banned and blocked due to the prejudice of a few, especially the user "NameGame" which nominate Kurdish article for deletion, and user "Spiderone" which block any Kurdish user that try to stop the deletion. Instead of investigating "NameGame" and his destruction of Kurdish Wiki articles, we get blocked and banned. Why is this user not investigated that is vandalizing and targeting Kurdish page only:
