A tag has been placed on Orb (Software), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable. If you can indicate why Orb (Software) is really notable, you can contest the tagging. To do this, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and leave a note on Talk:Orb (Software), explaining how Orb (Software) is notable. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

Please read the criteria for speedy deletion (specifically, article #7) and our general biography criteria. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Elomis 06:35, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Missed Point

[edit]

The reason it was suggested that Orb 2.0 be deleted and probably why it was, was not entirely about how important it was, but whether or not it did or could assert that notability. There have been many articles on Wikipedia deleted because the onus is on the individual article to assert it's notability.

If you feel that the software is somehow important enough to be in an encyclopedia, that is, somehow different to other software that is not important enough to be in an enyclopedia, feel free to recreate the article this time asserting it's importance. Elomis 00:14, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
