Welcome
Hello WayneOlajuwon, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope that you have enjoyed contributing and want to stick around. Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Learn the basics by reading the introduction and taking the tutorial.
- Remember to sign messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~) to automatically insert your username and the date.
- Enjoy editing to improve articles, but try to leave an edit summary to explain what you are doing.
- Create your first article using the Article Wizard to help avoid common mistakes, which may lead to article deletion.
- Although you don't need to be familiar with all of Wikipedia's policies, try to keep to the core principles and basic guidelines.
- When dealing with fellow Wikipedians, please remain polite, solve problems calmly, and remember that no-one is out to get you.
- Get involved with the community by joining a WikiProject.
- Make any test edits in the sandbox or click here and create a sandbox of your own.
- If you are having difficulty, consider finding a mentor to give you more personal advice.
- If in doubt, be bold. If you make a mistake, it can easily be reverted.
If you need any more information, plenty of help is available - check out Wikipedia:Questions; ask your question here and attract help with the code {{helpme}}
; or leave me a message on my talk page explaining your problem and I will help as best as I can. Again, welcome! strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 17:37, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Changing username
You can find instructions on changing your username at Wikipedia:Changing username. Since the name you want is not already taken, you just need to read the guidelines, check this is the best option, and then select Simple at the bottom of the page. Hope this helped! strdst_grl (call me Stardust) 21:25, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Help from an administrator
{{adminhelp}} There is a copyright problem with File:Mannie Fresh.jpg. Can somebody fix the copyright problem of File:Mannie Fresh.jpg.
- Only the flickr uploader can fix the issue. —fetch·comms 20:46, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Wikipedia administrator
{{helpme}} Is there an easy way to become an Wikipedia administrator?
- The only way is to go through an RfA, where you'll be subjected to community scrutinisation etc before becoming one. Stwalkerster [ talk ] 16:48, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind me suggesting this, but as you have only had your account for about a month and have only made around 1,000 edits, I don't think you stand a reaslistic chance of passing a request for adminship at the moment. I suggest you have a read of this guide, spend some time getting a good bit of experience in a number of different Wikipedia areas, and not think about running for adminship for at least another six months. Best regards -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 17:44, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
I removed your comment on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Herostratus 2. It does not belong on that page. If you want to be an administrator the proper page to go to is Wikipedia:Requests for adminship. On that page it describes the process for submitting your name as a candidate for adminiship. If you have any questions let me know. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 17:17, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

De-orphan Mannie Fresh discography article
{{helpme}} Can somebody de-orphan the article Mannie Fresh discography?
- A page is an orphan if less that 3 articles link to it. If we take a look at what links to Mannie Fresh discography from articlespace, we see it has more than 3. I have removed the orphan tag. :) Avicennasis @ 19:52, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Service award
I saw your post at Jeff G.'s talk page and thought I'd reply here. Service awards are intended to be given to yourself; however, in this case I decided I'd ignore that and award you one myself! You qualify for the Novice Editor award, as you've been editing for one month and have (well over!) 200 edits (I count over one thousand!)
You can use the templates at the Novice Editor award section to add the award to your userpage. For example, if you wanted to add the "Burba userbox" you would add {{Burba Userbox}}
to your userpage.
In future you can award these to yourself: just make sure that you've reached both the necessary time and the necessary number of edits.

Undoing edits
{{helpme}} Why does User:STATicVerseatide keeps undoing my edits just because of a link named Los Angeles, California that is redirected to the Los Angeles article on the article Game (rapper)?
- Why don't you ask them on their talk page? See WP:DISCUSS, WP:BRD, WP:CONSENSUS.
- For more help, you can either;
- Leave a message on my own talk page;
OR
- Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end;
OR
- Talk to us live, with this or this.
- The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Chzz ► 00:09, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
LA
I'm sorry I did not relise it was a redirect page. Sorry for causing any trouble. I respect your redirect work on hip hop articles :). I think you should read WP:3R as what I did was not edit waring as I only reverted twice. STAT -Verse 00:15, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Thank you!

- P.S. Re. "Curse word" - my note here is merely to try and help; just advice...
- Please, don't take it personally. For one thing, wikipedia is not censored - what you might consider a 'curse-word', others may consider fine...and the debate about such things can go on forever, believe me.
- We have to operate in a global, collegiate environment; so, it's necessary to often accept a great deal of good faith. Be extra polite all the time; do not rise to any taunts, and...well, think the best of everyone. We're all actually here for the same thing...to make Wikipedia even better. If you object to the word "fuck" then, I'm sorry, but you've chosen the wrong internet...no disrespect intended. I hope you will understand.
- I am very, very happy that you talked to the other user and sorted this out with so little drama - it's unusual, and you've risen about 9000 points on my personal 'nice people' scale. Chzz ► 00:56, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
