The article Mary Lincoln Crume has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- The person does not meet WP:BIOGRAPHY - Being the aunt of a president is not enough
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ALXVA (talk) 22:19, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Mary Lincoln Crume
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Mary Lincoln Crume. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mary Lincoln Crume. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Czech Silesia, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Thomas Harrison (minister), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://lmperry.net/Perry-Poole-Tree/ps08/ps08_314.htm.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.
If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) CorenSearchBot (talk) 21:05, 1 August 2015 (UTC)

Copyright problem: Thomas Harrison (minister)
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Thomas Harrison (minister), but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. One paragraph of this article appears to contain material copied from http://www.encyclopediavirginia.org/Puritans_in_Colonial_Virginia, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Thomas Harrison (minister) and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, Thomas Harrison (minister), in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License and GNU Free Documentation License, and note that you have done so on Talk:Thomas Harrison (minister). See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0", or that the material is released into the public domain, or if you have strong reason to believe it is, leave a note at Talk:Thomas Harrison (minister) with a link to where we can find that note or your explanation of why you believe the content is free for reuse.
It may also be necessary for the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and to follow Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at this temporary page. Leave a note at Talk:Thomas Harrison (minister) saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved.
Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Widy9 (talk) 08:33, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
The article County Bärn has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Mandavi (talk) 23:41, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
County Bärn IS A COUNTY NOT A PERSON. SO I DELETED YOUR PROPOSED DELETION
The article County Bärn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- German WP doesn't seem to know such a county (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A4rn) and no further sources cited.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mandavi (talk) 15:53, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
============
[edit]Again, it is useful to have a basic understanding of the subject matter.
- Here is the link to the German Wikipedia article on County Bärn: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landkreis_B%C3%A4rn
- And here is an English translation: https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=auto&tl=en&u=https%3A%2F%2Fde.wikipedia.org%2Fwiki%2FLandkreis_B%25C3%25A4rn
Thanks. Watkec (talk) 16:41, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- If you don't add sources (as there are in the german article) to the english article, it is only a matter of time until it will be tagged for deletion again. Is that so hard to understand? --Mandavi (talk) 16:58, 10 April 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, so if you had said in the first place, "Stubs need some sort of citation to prove that the topic is legitimate, could you add some references to this please," that would have worked just fine. We could have skipped the:
- This needs to be deleted because biographies need citations
- The map simply shows the city of Bärn which is covert in Moravský Beroun. A county Bärn doesn't seem to exist.
- German WP doesn't seem to know such a county (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A4rn) and no further sources cited.
- Consider it done. Thanks.
- Watkec (talk) 02:51, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
- BTW, you can find 49 towns that were in this county listed on this page:
- https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/List_of_historical_German_and_Czech_names_for_places_in_the_Czech_Republic
- Just search for "Kreis Bärn" -- I added the links to this page. Thanks.
