AZ taxes

[edit]

Read it all the way through. She has to pay taxes on 50% of our total income, I have to pay taxes on 50% of Arizona derived income. As you deeper into the forms, it gets even more Byzantine: she gets 50% credit for taxes we paid to the Antilles, prorated by the ratio of Arizona income to total income, while I get 50% credit for taxes that she paid to the Antilles prorated to the ratio of income she derived from Antillean income vs. half our Arizonan income. They won't even allow us to file jointly, which would be cheaper: she has to separately file resident versions of everything, and I have to separately file non-resident versions of everything. My advice ... don't ever live in a different country from your spouse for any period of time, or at least don't let her move to a community property state.—Kww(talk) 02:20, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As for your second suggestion: it's on my 1040, so there's no helping it.—Kww(talk) 02:21, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why was the link "gratuitous", when it contains the text of the review in question? AnonMoos (talk) 14:32, 25 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
