Copy & Paste / Copyright Violations
[edit]In looking at the Liquefied natural gas article, it looks as though you just copied and pasted from other websites.
Please see:
These COPY and PASTE contributions were made from:
- "Transportation is an essential aspect of the gas business, since NG reserves are often quite distant from consumer markets. NG is far more cumbersome than oil to transport, and most gas is transported by pipelines. There is a relatively well-developed network in the former USSR, Europe and North America. However, in its gaseous state, NG is quite bulky. A high-pressure pipeline can transmit only about a fifth of the amount of energy per day, which can be transmitted in an oil pipeline, even though gas travels much faster."
- " Exmar, the Belgian gas tanker owner, has successfully completed the first commercial ship-to-ship (STS) transfer of LNG cargo. The operation, which was recently carried out in the Gulf of Mexico, involved the transfer of 20,650m3 of LNG from the 130,800m3 LNG regasification vessel (LNGRV) Excelsior to the 138,000m3 Excalibur, a conventional Exmar LNG carrier. Prior to this commercial exercise LNG had only ever been transferred between ships on a handful of occasions as a necessity following an incident."
- "When gas is cooled to -160°C (-260°F), NG becomes liquid and is much more compact-occupying 1/600 of its gas volume. Where long overseas distances are involved, transporting NG in its liquid state is more economical. The LNG industty is set for a large and sustained expansion as improved technology has reduced transportation costs of formerly stranded NG reserves as a liquid to consumer markets."
Not only did you copy and paste, you copied and pasted a misspelling: "industty"'
When you added the word "normaly" to a sentence, you spelled it wrong also, should be "normally."
Is this the best you can do? WikiDon 21:53, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Is Copy & Paste the best that you can produce?
[edit]Come on Warren. You can do better than that.
Hi Don, Very new to Wiki, always try to change the structure and order of the sentences use alternative words etc... Is realy a work in progress, was intending 'flesh out' as it evolves though don't have enough free time to do this quicly. Please aslo note that have nothing to do with paragraph conatining the miss-spelled word 'industry'; It may have been attributed to myslf as I mistakingly inserted my new section 'Transportation' bewteen the paragraph above. As I suffer from 'fat' fingers I always use a spell checker!
The main reason I have been trying my hand at Wiki is as I have been recently working with an LNG project and when researching into Wiki found a great deal of general information missing so thought I'd fill in the blanks. In all I'm finding the excercise of cross referencing most challenging and have done my best to at least re-order any information/text found on the web purely added to 'link' all the information..Will have to get the thesaurus out some more!
Thank you for your help and encouragement,
Best regards,
Warren
