Hi! I'd like to briefly elaborate on this: For an individual to be an appropriate article topic, it needs to be demonstrated that they meet the notability guidelines. That can either mean the general guideline, or a subject-specific guideline. It seems that this individual does not mean those standards. The sources used in the article are for the most part not independent, and I couldn't find any better ones. This article would likely be deleted after a discussion at WP:AFD, unless significantly better sources are found. The page I want to create is about one engineer who was part of the creation of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA).

I'm a Member of the Committee of the Archive and History of the ASA, term to 2025 [[1]] .

The project is to disseminate the life about the lesser-known ASA's founders.

Edward Joseph Schroeter is one of the founder member as you can check on this site: https://asahistory.org/history-of-the-asa/. His name is printed at the bottom on the picture.

I am not an employee of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), nor do I work for ASA.

I am an Honorary Member who collaborates ad-honorem at Committee of Archives and History of the ASA, in this case as Historian.

The Schroeter's page is a personal project that has no direct or indirect relationship with the ASA. It is a strictly personal project, which does not have any financing. I am not involved in any external financing or from any institution. I do this work in my spare time.

I see, sorry for the misunderstanding; „committee member“ sounded like employee to me. My bad! Still, that means you have an actual or apparent conflict of interest, so you should request edits on article talk pages and submit article drafts through WP:AFC. Linking to an article from other articles does not establish the notability of the article subject. I would suggest you re-read the notability guideline; it‘s one of the most complex pieces of Wikipedia editor consensus, and I‘d be happy to help you with any questions you have about this :) Actualcpscm (talk) 12:21, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously I read the "notability guideline", and the ASA sources are the most reliable data information. The ASA is a Society with almost 100 years.

My project is to make a posthumous tribute to that persons who founded de ASA. I added the following source: History of Acoustical Society of America. The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America 1, 5 (1929) https://doi.org/10.1121/1.1901431

Excuse me, but it seems that you can not understand the fact that I'm 100% independent of the ASA or Cornell, or the other source of information that I'm using.

Perhaps you don't understand the fact that I voluntarily participate at historical committee of the ASA, but this situation does not imply any kind of belonging to that organization. Also, I have not any commitment with this society, and I have not any kind of business or political decision on it.

My contribution is 100% independent of any ASA decision, the page I'm creating does not have any formal connection or any formal order.

You as an editor are not a reliable source of information for the purposes of WP:V and WP:RS, but I‘m not addressing your independence anyways. The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America is not an independent source for the purposes of establishing the notability of one of its founding members.
