Articles for deletion nomination of Lost in the Meritocracy: The Undereducation of an Overachiever
[edit]I have nominated Lost in the Meritocracy: The Undereducation of an Overachiever, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lost in the Meritocracy: The Undereducation of an Overachiever. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

- Hello, Walmas! Just FYI: I have added a whole bunch of references to your article "Lost in the Meritocracy", to prove that it meets Wikipedia's criteria for "notability". And now the tone of the discussion at the "articles for deletion" page is such that I think it will almost certainly NOT be deleted. Even the person who nominated it for deletion now says "keep"! Thanks for creating this article and I hope you will do more. By the way, your method here was to create the article with a single sentence and then add to it. That's perfectly acceptable practice here on Wikipedia - such an article is called a stub. But sometimes a person may jump the gun and complain because the stub doesn't have much content. Another way to create an article is to create it in a "sandbox," here in your own userspace; it's kind of your own personal playground where you can take as much time as you want. See Wikipedia:About the Sandbox. Although personally I find the sandbox cumbersome, and I tend to do as you did, create the article and then expand it. Anyhow, welcome aboard and thanks for your contributions. --MelanieN (talk) 17:26, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
