Strip Club FAC
[edit]I noticed that you have removed the article Strip club from the GAC page with the plans of nominating it for FAC. I also noticed you underwent a recent peer review. Although you have certainly put a lot of hard work into the article, I would advise holding out for another GA review rather than going straight to FAC. At a quick glance, there are still a lot of issues with the article, even by GA standards. For one, there are many statements without citations, which suggests further research is needed. Secondly, some of the sources would not be considered reliable, such as "2001live.com". The captions on the pictures could also use some serious work since they don't sound encyclopedic. Anyway, once you get the article to GA status, feel free to keep working at it and bring it to FAC when its ready. I would love to see the article as a WP:FA someday. – VisionHolder « talk » 22:41, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note, but it is already nominated for FA. It was ignored at GAC, so I just took the feedback I had and ran with it. On the citation comment, just please mark the claims that you are clearly disputing. It might take some hunting and pecking but everything in the article is verifiable. On the FAC, you are welcome to punch holes in it and I'll get back to work... - Wallanon (talk) 22:49, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- BTW, I'm not trying to be a dick with my brief comments. I promised someone a complete overhaul of an article today (which is only day off work since May and will be my last day off work until September), and I haven't accomplished much. When I have time, I will gladly offer more detailed comments and suggestions. But keep in mind that I write in the scientific areas, so I'm a lot more critical of citations and reliable sources. Hopefully someone else will offer some comments shortly and give you something specific to work on. Until I can get back to you and give you the suggestions you deserve, keep up the good work. – VisionHolder « talk » 22:55, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
noindex
[edit]I added {{userspace notes}} to User:Wallanon/Scratch. It includes a __NOINDEX__ directive -- which tells search engines not to search and index this page.
- Thanks! Wallanon (talk) 21:34, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
I participated in a discussion as to how long contributors' notes should be kept after they have taken a long wikibreak. There was no consensus in that particular discussion. Geo Swan (talk) 23:55, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

File permission problem with File:Stripper in Yellow and Jeans.jpg
[edit]![](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/c/cf/Copyright-problem.svg/64px-Copyright-problem.svg.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Stripper in Yellow and Jeans.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
