I reverted the edits you made to Jim Walden (lawyer) and left a relatively long message explaining why on Talk:Jim Walden (lawyer).

I did so because the edits you made are problematic in terms of a number of Wikipedia policies. They are likely on the wrong side of WP:COI (Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest Policy) as well as WP:TONE, WP:PUFFERY, WP:NEUTRAL and WP:IMPARTIAL (policies that explain that Wikipedia should be written in a neutral impartial tone and should stick to the facts).

Additionally, your account and account name itself is likely on the wrong side of WP:ISU and WP:BFAQ#ACCOUNT and this account will probably be banned for this eventually.

Despite these issues, it seem clear to me that you're editing in good faith and I really appreciate that you've been clear about your relationship to the subject. Please keep doing that!

My advice to you is to: (a) read the policies I've cited above carefully, (b) create an account that is for you as an individual, (c) clearly articulate your relationship to the subject as you have, and (d) please don't edit Jim Walden (lawyer) or other articles that you think you might be conflicted with directly. Instead of editing articles directly, you should request edits be made by other non-conflicted editors. One thing you can do is to copy the text to a sub-page of your userpage and edit it there. Once you've done that, you can request that someone look over your changes and make the edits for you.

I'm happy to help with this if you want to start working on the content that I removed. Please just leave a message on my talk page. I hope this isn't to disappointing. Let me know if I can help! —mako 06:12, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
