Seeking guidance on a next steps for Page Draft detailing an individual. I had started a talk page on a previous account (that I cannot seem to recover, username I believe to be Markvoneisen) about this subject, which has prompted a thorough vetting of the content contained in the new draft. This individual had a previous page that was taken down for using language deemed promotional in nature and citing sources that were not verifiable, third party references (before I began work on it). Noting this, my draft is emphatic in its objective, third party sources. Also important: I am aware of a conflict of interest in that I am personally enrolled in a program that this individual's nonprofit runs, and had been given previous talk page advice to seek a wiki reader to vet the drafted content so that what gets approved will not be deleted again. 1) My draft is currently offline — what is the best forum to enter this content into wikipedia so that I can properly format it (all the pieces/internal & external links are ready)? 2) Who or what body should I initially seek to vet the information? Any and all comments welcome here. Always appreciate the analytical insight you all provide. Thanks. VonEisenMark (talk) 19:24, 15 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Awards

[edit]

cut all the minor awards David notMD (talk) 02:19, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks User:David notMD for all of your assistance here. I really appreciate the advice. Awards have been condensed, external links removed, apart from one. One question is how to remove the external link for Research!America before ==Education==. Not sure how to edit that source text at all. Another question: would it be inappropriate to include selected publications? I want to underscore that I'm not going for promotional value of any sort, but this question was asked and I thought it may appear promotional to reviewers. Appreciate the insight. To edit content in the Lead, click on Edit in the top bar menu (this allows you to edit the entire article). I went ahead and removed the hyperlink. David notMD (talk) 14:22, 21 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you David notMD. My next order of business is photo upload. It seems that the photo must be my own? I was given her most widely used professional headshot but 1) am not sure that I should upload it, as I did not "take" the picture and 2) am not confident how to do it correctly. Wait on this? Act on this? VonEisenMark (talk) 13:29, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

PHOTO: Best if you have a photo you took yourself, or else identify a photo and the photographer willing to donate it, meaning that giving up all copyright and ownership. And that is directly, not telling you it is OK to use the photo. Keep in mind that a professional headshot probably copyright protected by the photographer, not the subject. Also, obviously, downloading photos from internet. David notMD (talk) 15:29, 22 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
