Doctoral students need to meet wp:notability (people) to be listed. The entries either need to link to a Wiki article or to a citations clearly demonstrating notability.
After first mention of name, usually, only the surname should be used. MOS:SURNAME. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 05:10, 27 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I moved Driver's full name to the article lead where it should be per wp:SURNAME.
  • Your additions of Doctoral students and Other notable students probably doesn't meet wp:notability (people) or wp:notability (academics). My understanding is if they are notable to be listed under these categories, they are notable enough to warrant a Wikipedia article. Don't quote me on that! If it was up to me, Wikipedia would consider any scientist that has made a reasonable contribution to their field as being notable. Unfortunately, the standard allows anybody who can't sing, but can make adolescents and teens swoon as notable, but not the vast majority of scientists. Just listing one's institution link or CV is unlikely to be considered an indication of notability. I won't delete them, but there many who would. If you can,
  • I would recommend using {{cite web}}, {{cite journal}}, etc. to format a link and generally avoid using the [https://www.ucl.ac.uk/research/domains/neuroscience/research/jondriverprize Jon Driver Prize] format. As a minimum, I would recommend the |url=, |title=, |work=, (authors) |last1=, |first1=, |last2=, |first2= ..., |date= (if using a news article), and |accessdate= Use 31 December 2020 as the date format. The above might be formatted as:
  • '''Jon Driver Prize'''.<ref>{{cite web |url= https://www.ucl.ac.uk/research/domains/neuroscience/research/jondriverprize |title= Jon Driver Prize |work= [[University College London]] |accessdate= 29 December 2020}}</ref>
  • No author, no publication date, Which generates:
Jon Driver Prize.[1]

Notice

The article Erich Häusser has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:BIO, no sources for the Honours founded, was president of the german "Patentamt" and has a somewhat famous quote, but nothing to establish sufficient notability

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
