User talk:Vladsinger/Archive 3
The article Gary Stockdale has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Long term unreferenced BLP.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. TexasAndroid (talk) 05:17, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
- All I did was move the page b/c wasn't correctly capitalized, warned original author. vlad§inger tlk 17:26, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Charcoal Bricks Image
[edit]What are the usage rights for this image in regards to advertising? I'm wanting to use a section of the image in a promotional logo to go in 400 grocery stores and online.
Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Balfour00 (talk • contribs) 16:35, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- This is probably too late, but as far as I can tell, the creative commons license allows you to do what you want with the image as long as you credit me/Wikipedia and license your derivative work in a similar manner. details vlad§inger tlk 15:04, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

[edit]Long time no see, I just returned on the Tutorial-cartography_(basic).svg to finish it, I remember your kind help in.... 2008 ! I was feed up with this large work, so I never finished it. But it seems I will eventually achieve it this week. So, just : thanks for your previous help ! Yug (talk) 17:27, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
Thanks man
[edit]Thanks for the diagram! couple more asks
1. For resonance: please make the arrows bigger (more viewable heads).
2. For the other picture, I forgot to include the link. but I have a slightly different one anyway. See this image: [1]. I would like to get an illo with side by sides (wide, not tall). (a) would be from "c". And then (b) from "g". Change the X's to be F's. And get rid of the square parens.

- Done and done. Enjoy. I have my last exam coming up tomorrow, so if you have any more of these, keep them coming as I'll have lots of free time starting next week. vlad§inger tlk 02:37, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
- I messed up. (a) should be from "d". (thus showing a straight bridge)
- Peeps like you are the class of the Wiki. Good luck on the exam tomorrow!
- P.s. you are fast!!!

Request to make graphic even clearer
[edit]Little more tweaking requested. Just want to make this simple for the reader.
A. Please make the M atoms in both a and b have the same arrangement of ligands, but just F for the connections.
IOW: (a) ML5-F-ML5 (b) ML4-(two different Fs)-ML4
Go aheand and let the aspect ratio get even "wider" (nicer for me in text wrap anyways).
B. (Experiment with this please). Wonder if there is some way to call attention to the F. Maybe bold it. Or make it "halogen yellow". (maybe a little darker version.) Or circle it. If it looks goofy, don't do it. At least making the diagram clearly differentiate bridging Fs from other ligands should help.

- There how's that? Could potentially take those L's out if that would be better, since we just want to highlight the bridges. vlad§inger tlk 01:06, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
- Good call. Yeah try it. Cut the L's, but just have sort of dangling bonds. Actually if you do that, can probably do away with the circles then. 69.255.27.249 (talk) 04:22, 17 June 2012 (UTC)

Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing!. Sorry for the standard template but it's the easiest way to give you all the relevant information. Dpmuk (talk) 08:21, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- I did *not* create this article, I simply moved it (using the built in "move" command if I recall correctly) a couple years ago because of incorrect capitalization. I simply couldn't care less. As I noted on its talk page when another deletion request came up two years ago. Just remove it already. vlad§inger tlk 14:44, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, no. It seems I incorrectly moved it in 2007, when I first started editing Wikipedia. The original author is here: User_talk:Rickastor, doubt you'll get any response. vlad§inger tlk 14:51, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Ah. Sorry, I'd missed your reply both above and on the talk page so didn't realise that was the case. You obviously now know you shouldn't move page like that so nothing further to be done there. Thanks for pointing me at the original author, the extra info to me makes it a clear case where we are going to need proof of permission so I'll give it the 7 day listing at WP:CP although as you state it seems unlikely they're respond. Disambiguation link notification for January 14
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited TS Patriot State, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mobile (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Classic Rock Rock Symphonies.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Classic Rock Rock Symphonies.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:23, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
The article What we talk about when we talk about anne frank has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Non-notable short story collection.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 03:56, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
