Welcome!

Hello, Vit-ali-yan, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Agnitum, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Agnitum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.  Frank  |  talk  21:36, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Agnitum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Agnitum and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Vit-ali-yan (talk) 21:51, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Agnitum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb1 (talk) 22:54, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Agnitum, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agnitum. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Wuhwuzdat (talk) 23:08, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Agnitum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

A tag has been placed on Outpost Security Suite, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. A tag has been placed on Agnitum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Proposed deletion of Agnitum

[edit]

The article Agnitum has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Notability not asserted.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Re-writing of pages...

[edit]

...in doing so you have removed sections and not added any new reliable sources. You are not making the articles better you are simply turning them into adverts. Darrenhusted (talk) 20:33, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it was not like that. Please understand, that every fact about small company/its niche product cannot be confirmed by "significant" source.
Most sources mentioned are reliable enough as:
- software producers official web-sites (they are in article) mention company and product,
- industry comparatives testings web-sites (they are in article) mention company and product,
- computer media web-sites (they are in article) with news, reviews and marks mention company and product, too.
- their competitor's sites: http://www.tallemu.com/oasis2/vendor/agnitum_ltd_/183 (e.g.)
What else can be helpful to describe old enough IT company's business and related topics? Victor Yanin 20:43, 13 September 2009 (UTC) Dear Darren, please take into account that articles were partially cleaned from ads. Please do not UNDO to nominate them again for deletion, just try to provide a time to make everything clear. Your undids and nominations are unclear. Ways to improve Uploadcare

[edit]

Hello, Vit-ali-yan,

Thank you for creating Uploadcare.

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Thanks for your contribution to Wikipedia, but the page reads somewhat like an advertisement - please consider wording it more neutrally.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Elliot321}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~. For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

@Elliot321:

Hello, I have checked questionable expressions and external links that could sound not that neutral, and let them go. Please come back to the page to review its content back.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited TrueConf, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Appliance (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello Vit-ali-yan. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Uploadcare, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vit-ali-yan. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vit-ali-yan|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. scope_creepTalk 16:13, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this statement brought me into the confused state. Probably I'm not aware of some new rules brought by Wikipedia this summer about the articles creation policy for companies under 50 employees, or something like using the non-English references, or CrunchBase which can be detected as non-verifiable content supplier?

To be stated: I am not paid by Uploadcare or its subsidiaries. But I was in touch with their team members since they are coming from my home town, and we crossed the paths in the past 5 to 7 years.

So I see this article creation as a free tribute to startup I was in touch with.

Please let me know the further steps. Victor Yanin 16:41, 27 June 2020 (UTC)

Uploadcare moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Uploadcare, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 16:24, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Uploadcare logo.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Uploadcare logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:45, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with your custom signature

[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Nomination of Agnitum for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Agnitum is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agnitum (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

  • TechCrunch editorial,
  • Crunchbase company's data (seems to be verifiable and legit),
  • BetaKit editorial,
  • Inc Russia (chapter of the international independent business media),
  • VC.ru (we may call it Techcrunch of Russia, it's editor's article describes the venture-backed startup stories),
  • If24.ru (it's Investment Foresight media in Russian, independent media with editor's interview describes the venture-backed startup story as well, the media has got around half million visits a month) - added.

I hope the overall list with addition of computer science books meets notabilty requirements:

  • Handbook of Multimedia Information Security: Techniques and Applications,
  • Jump Start Web Performance.
