A tag has been placed on your article Loren Munk, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be a biographical account about a person, group of people, or band, but it does not indicate how or why he/she/they is/are notable. If you can indicate why Loren Munk is really notable, I advise you to edit the article promptly, and also put a note on Talk:Loren Munk. Any admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles. You might also want to read our general biography criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that admins should wait a while for you to assert his/her/their notability, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such an assertion. It is also a very good idea to add citations from reliable sources in order that your article will be verifiable.

(It's actually already been deleted, so I advise you not to post the article again until you can demonstrate in the article why the person is notable. You can work on the article in your user space and copy across when it's ready. If they simply are not notable, sorry, but we are unable to accept the article. -- kingboyk 07:15, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Clement Greenberg do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 00:53, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Art history. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by some search engines, including Google. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. freshacconci talktalk 00:54, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Jackson Pollock. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. freshacconci talktalk 01:56, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Violaplayer26. Firstly, thanks for creating the article on Julie Corman! You've made a great start. I'm a relatively experienced editor and when I was looking over the new pages I came across yours and noticed that there were a few things I could help with. Firstly, Wikipedia has two fundamental policies that (1) articles must adhere to a neutral point of view, and that they can be verified. This basically means that all material which is challenged or likely to be challenged should be referenced to a reliable secondary source, and that opinions should be presented only if they are documented as opinions and are opinions which are widely spread. Most of my edits are (and will be focused on those two) - and a few others like WP:BIO and WP:SUMMARY. If you want to talk about anything with me then I'd be more than happy to assist you. Thanks again for creating the article: it's because of people like you that Wikipedia works so well as an encyclopaedia :) Jay Σεβαστόςdiscuss 22:42, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A great way to improve the article would be to find further references for more of the information - if you could help, that would be great! You can find out more about citing sources at WP:CITE. Jay Σεβαστόςdiscuss 22:45, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
