Thanks for uploading Image:Aly & A.J. - On the Ride -Single-.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Image legality questions page. Thank you. Sue Anne 03:09, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Lucie Silvas photos promo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Lindsay Lohan

[edit]

Your recent edits to the Lindsay Lohan article were reverted. You forgot to cite that her next album will be called "Upcoming third album" and I must say, I find this somewhat unlikely. --Yamla 16:29, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to revert the entry (but Yamla beat me by seconds) for two reasons: First, (Upcoming third Album) is not a title and would be in parentheses; second, and much more importantly, the entry is premature. Lohan, supposedly, (starts/started) writing this month, and it's premature to say when (or even if, for that matter) it will be recorded and released. (If/when) her record label announces a release date (title or no), then it should be added. RadioKirk talk to me 16:38, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added some information on the apparent source of this image to the discussion page for the image itself. If the information is correct, that's the kind of information that should be included on the description page for the image. Putting it in the linked article alone won't usually do it, because that is a separate page. Hope this helps! Crypticfirefly 03:07, 7 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All images that are uploaded and used in an article need an accurate source identifying the copyright holder, a correct license, and a detailed fair-use rationale for each use of the image. 1. Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that you added new information to Hilary Duff's fourth studio album — we thank you for doing so, but in order to satisfy our verifiability policy policy, we need to know from which sources you got that information. Just adding a link to the article next to your addition would be all right, or you could put it in the article's discussion page. If you need any help, feel free to ask me at my talk page. Thanks!
  2. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Extraordinary Machine 21:54, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed that you added new information to Lacrymosa (Evanescence song) — we thank you for doing so, but in order to satisfy our verifiability policy policy, we need to know from which sources you got that information. Just adding a link to the article next to your addition would be all right, or you could put it in the article's discussion page. If you need any help, feel free to ask me at my talk page. Thanks!
  2. I have noted that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! 2007 Emma Roberts album

[edit]

I removed your recent addition to the Emma Roberts article, because I couldn't find any sources saying there are plans to release a second album in 2007. Moreover, she stated in several recent interviews that she would focus on acting for now and not pursue a career as a singer. [edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Soraya Arnelas - Corazón De Fuego (2005).jpg.

If you have not already done so, please also include the source of the image. In many cases this will be the website where you found it.

Please specify the copyright information and source on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 18:49, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Play with Fire (song) and image copyrights

[edit]
  1. Your recent contribution(s) to to the Wikipedia article Play with Fire (song) are very much appreciated. However, you did not provide references or sources for your information. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. If sources are left unreferenced, it may count as original research, which is not allowed. Can you provide in the article specific references to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content in the article? You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Thanks!
  2. You've been asked not to upload images without providing adequate source and copyright information. The source is the copyright holder, which isn't necessarily the webpage from where the image originated, and for copyright information images must be given an accurate image copyright tag (e.g. {{albumcover}} for album and single covers). Please also read Wikipedia:Image use policy and Help:Image page. This is your last warning about this: if you continue to upload images without providing this information, you'll be blocked from editing for a period. Thanks. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Jessica Simpson - I Belong To Me -Single- (2006).JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Jessica Simpson - I Belong To Me -Single- (2006).JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Bésame Sin Miedo nominated for speedy deletion

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Bésame Sin Miedo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. If you plan to provide more material to the article, I advise you to do so immediately, and also put a note on Talk:Bésame Sin Miedo. An administrator should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 1 under Articles. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and then immediately add such material.A. You recently added an external link to YouTube in an article. It has been removed because the link pointed to a non-encyclopedic source.

Per WP:COPYRIGHT:
External sites can possibly violate copyright. Linking to copyrighted works is usually not a problem, as long as you have made a reasonable effort to determine that the page in question is not violating someone else's copyright. If it is, please do not link to the page. Knowingly and intentionally directing others to a site that violates copyright has been considered a form of copyright infringement in the United States (Intellectual Reserve v. Utah Lighthouse Ministry). Also, linking to a page that illegally distributes someone else's work sheds a bad light on Wikipedia and its editors. If the site in question is making fair use of the material, linking is fine.

Please refer to Wikipedia's policy on external links for more information.
You have been warned.

Article prodded

All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Hear Lies Betty Curse. You may remove the {{dated prod}} template, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. y creo que todo lo que he puesto hasta fecha de hoy no me he inventado nada... no tengo otra cosa que decir reviselo bien y argumenteme todos los errores. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vinaixa67 (talkcontribs)

I've nominated the article Josh Hoge for deletion under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Josh Hoge satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion. I have explained why in the nomination space (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Josh Hoge. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them. You are free to edit the content of Josh Hoge during the discussion, but please do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top). Doing so will not end the discussion. Unspecified source for Image:Ashley Tisdale - He Said, She Said -Single- (2007).jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ashley Tisdale - He Said, She Said -Single- (2007).jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Metros232 16:06, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

[edit]

When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

Edit summary text box

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. Thank you. Metros232 16:07, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You NEED to give sources

[edit]

Your recent contribution(s) to Wikipedia did not provide specific references or sources. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a drive to improve the quality of Wikipedia by encouraging editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. Editors may choose to remove material you have contributed if it is not verifiable. Please provide specific references in your contributions to any books, articles, websites or other reliable sources that will allow people to verify the content. You can use a citation method listed at inline citations that best suits each article. Metros232 16:23, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, your edits to Edurne, are speculative and/or constitute original research and cannot be included. Please cite your edits with a reliable source, one that is verifiable. Thank you. This is your last warning. You have been asked to stop adding information to articles without providing sources on numerous occasions. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. You cannot simply add "TBA" albums that are due out in 2007 without providing sources that state that there will be an album. You cannot change album sales totals, chart positions, or anything of the like without sources. Thank you, Metros232 18:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ashley Tisdale - Headstrong (2007).jpg

[edit]
Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ashley Tisdale - Headstrong (2007).jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 23:03, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on M-A-K-L-O-V-E-T-O-M-E, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Chris 73 | Talk 18:31, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Everlife songs.

[edit]

I noticed you changed what i had about 2 songs being rumored cover songs. Do you have a confirmation that this songs are are covers? if not, i think it would be better to put that they are rumored to be covers. I'm just wondering and would like to know. Thanks.--Mister Pine 06:16, 15 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! in the official page you can listen the all tracks and the two songs are covers.

Sorry, but In the edurne page the second studio album is confirmed in the Top Music Magazine (Spanish Magazine) was released April 17.

That's great, but how am I supposed to know that unless you source it? You add information to articles then give explanations only after people have reverted your edits or you have been blocked. You have to provide the sources when ADDING the information, not as a response. Metros232 15:39, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Once I have edited it, then i put the second studio album has been a confirmee in the magazine Top Music. Please, add it of the magazine and put since it had stopped with the image of the album of edurne and everything!

It's not my responsibility to add the source for you. It was your responsibility and you didn't do it. You've been warned to add sources many times, but you continue not to do so. You can't tell me know that it's in a magazine, you have to add the source when you add the information to the article. Metros232 16:06, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ok... Neither does it make fail to be so a polite evil eh? That seems that this making something illegal or bothering... I cannot deal like even not you fias on me as if it had put a lot of false information... I cannot put the link of the magazine because it does not have proper web page...

So I wait that valoreis better the information that I contribute because always me judging these without knowing anything of me

Thank you for uploading Image:Justin_Timberlake_-_What_Goes_Around..._-Single-_(2007).jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Please do not create articles about songs and write that they've been released as singles when they haven't. "Stranger" has been played on the radio most likely because Duff "previewed" the song as an album track at certain radio stations; it has not been released as a single. License tagging for Image:Sunblock - Baby Baby (Feat. Sandy) -Single- (2007).jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sunblock - Baby Baby (Feat. Sandy) -Single- (2007).jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 22:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Amar Es Lo Que Quiero, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on I wanna be the rain, by Luigi-ish, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because I wanna be the rain fits the criteria for speedy deletion for the following reason:

This song is not notable in any way. It is not a single, nor received any sort of airplay anywhere.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting I wanna be the rain, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate I wanna be the rain itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 21:15, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For more unsourced edits like this and I wanna be the rain, you have been blocked for a month. It is not enough to see that an album is "TBA" without having a source proving this. Thanks for uploading Image:Ch!pz - Past.Presents.Future Part II (2006).jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Soraya Arnelas - Ochenta's (2006).jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

License tagging for Image:Booty luv boogie.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Booty luv boogie.jpg.

20:06, 26 August 2007 (UTC)

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Tell It to My Heart (Royal Gigolos song), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Notability of Drop Ya Body

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Drop Ya Body, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hello Vinaixa67! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Sonblue - Sueños De Ayer (2006).JPG

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Sonblue - Sueños De Ayer (2006).JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Aspects (talk) 20:49, 14 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
