Sockpuppet investigation
[edit]An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Johnviz, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 12:15, 14 February 2021 (UTC)This is just sad. One of you called me a sockpuppet, and I'm blocked for speaking the truth. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer in August of 2019, he has been slowly deteriorating since. Wikipedia is where I go to research a lot of stuff, but I can't wait to share with my followers and friends what you guys are all about. And I'm gonna make sure his oncologist and all doctors and lawyer know exactly what you guys do. Thank you for showing me your true colors. Villanekhaleeci (talk) 18:04, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
Your recent edits could give Wikipedia contributors the impression that you may consider legal or other "off-wiki" action against them, or against Wikipedia itself. Please note that making such threats on Wikipedia is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's policies on legal threats and civility. Users who make such threats may be blocked. If you have a dispute with the content of any page on Wikipedia, please follow the proper channels for dispute resolution. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 18:12, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
It isn't a threat. Forget the lawyer, I'm just upset that I'm blocked. Villanekhaleeci (talk) 18:15, 14 February 2021 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you very much for the clarification. No worries about the perceived threat from my side then, and my condolences for what your husband, you and other loved persons are going through. If you later become interested in contributing to Wikipedia in a way unrelated to the user Johnviz, please let us know by creating an unblock request (see the red notice box for the syntax). There is no time limit for creating an unblock request, and the block is only meant to prevent further edits on behalf of a blocked user. Simply agreeing not to edit about the same topics as he did (i.e. "Dead Talk Live" and "John Vizaniaris") and providing at least one credible example of a helpful contribution that is currently prevented by the block would be sufficient. You may like to have a look at the Task Center and/or the community portal for ideas.
- Regarding your concerns about Wikipedia, reading Johnviz's messages at User talk:Johnviz might help to get an overview of a situation that has been presented to you in a one-sided way.
