If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you.

Your edits to Lydia Caruana

[edit]

Please do not delete content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Lydia Caruana, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Lydia Caruana appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Voceditenore (talk) 18:17, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Warning Once again, please read the multiple problems with this article as outlined on the talk page and please stop your unconstructive editing. You have now removed all the formatting, restored the overly-promotional tone, and removed the maintenance tags on this article three times with no edit summaries, and no engagement on the article's talk page. You have chosen to write this article on Wikipedia. (I suspect either as the subject herself or her agent) Once you do so, you no longer own it. The article is not an alternative website for Ms. Caruana, and you may not treat it as such. It must comply with Wikipedia's standards for fomatting, referencing and neutral point of view. If you continue to remove the work of other editors and the maintenance tags with no explanation and without making the improvements required, it will be considered vandalism, and you may be blocked from editing. Voceditenore (talk) 06:56, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Further warning You have now blanked the article apart from a single sentence with no explanation. I have restored the content you deleted. You may replace it with this version if you prefer, which would be preferable as it contains proper formatting, minimal references, and neutral language. However, if you continue to blank the article, I will have no choice but to report your actions to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Voceditenore (talk) 08:40, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Final warning Following your third blanking of Lydia Caruana in the last two hours, your actions are now being discussed at the Administrators' Noticeboard, where you are welcome to participate. Thank you, Voceditenore (talk) 10:57, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
