Hey VR, I see you did two removals of info here. I imagine it's by mistake, can you self rv? [1],[2] Homerethegreat (talk) 18:13, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, hold on, doing something important atm. VR talk 18:14, 2 January 2024 (UTC) By important, I meant see this. VR talk 18:31, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- I saw you removed that he is on the US list of terrorists, I think it is lead worthy and important to restore. Homerethegreat (talk) 18:22, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Would you consider this edit a sufficient self-revert? VR talk 18:27, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- I think it's best you simply rv to how it was previously. (him being designated a terrorist in the first paragraph, and the second sentence on 5 million dollar bounty in second paragraph). Homerethegreat (talk) 18:43, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- But the first revert, even you agree was a good revert, right? Like do you agree that a weak source making a claim contradicted by NYT was undue for the lead let alone the first sentence? Not to mention its not mentioned anywhere in the body of the article, so its inclusion in the lead violates WP:LEAD. VR talk 18:45, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- The first edit is fine of course, no matter my opinion :). Just rv the second edit you did and that's that. I hope you have a pleasant day and I hope all is well with the important thing (real life is more important of course than wiki). Homerethegreat (talk) 18:51, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, so I self-reverted[3] restoring it to the first paragraph.
- Then I made a second edit moving it to the second paragraph. I don't see this edit being a "revert" of anyone else's edit. If it is, please point me to the edit. VR talk 18:56, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

- @Homerethegreat: can you indicate which edit I reverted? I'm having a hard time finding that.VR talk 18:46, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

Hamas, antisemitism(?)
Would you be so kind, and helpful, to pay some attention to the {clarify} tag, recently placed at the end of Hamas#Antisemitism, concerning a mystery that you at best can hopefully solve? --Corriebertus (talk) 15:15, 5 April 2024 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what the objection here is, that the date of article retrieval is not correct? VR (Please ping on reply) 01:26, 6 April 2024 (UTC)
- (As you noticed, the tag is now in Hamas section 1988 Hamas Charter.) The problems are: (1) The ref source is in Arabic, which is allright by me, but it is good practice I believe in Wikipedia in such a case to translate at least the title of the referenced article; (2) The only bit in the article that I can read is the date because it is given in “Arabic” numbers [one of the few things the Western civilization has taken over from the Arab culture?] and it says 18 Dec 2017—what does Al Jazeera mean with that date? (3). But your ref description writes: “December 2023”. What is that last date supposed to mean or refer to? If you take the trouble to write “December” in Latin script (alphabet), we may require of you to tell us what that date is supposed to mean. --Corriebertus (talk) 07:54, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- Basically, the article was published on Al-Jazeera in 2017, referring to old remarks Ahmed Yassin made (Yassin was killed in 2004). He made similar remarks as published in this 1997 article by the NYT (which is fully in English).
- As for the Arabic, you can use google translate to read the English version of the article.
- The December 2023 date is the date that article was retrieved or viewed. It is possible that Al-Jazeera might change the article at any time (although unlikely) so that's why we write the date the article was last viewed. VR (Please ping on reply) 22:16, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
