Hello, I'm Oshwah. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Ethnic group seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 01:14, 3 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

My edits give accurate examples of ethnic group categories listed. As for the other edits, they removed uncited sentences and misrepresentation of the sources provided. The wording entered now actually reflects what is stated in the sources themselves. I agree with you on the removal of other material, and re-inserted it. Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits to Morisco while logged out. Making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of more than one account or IP address per person. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Request for unblock

Request reason:

I have been unjustly blocked again after the previous block had expired for both my IP address and my previous user account. I created a new user account, Veritas2016, because I was not satisfied with my previous one, DifensorFidelis. This does not warrant an indefinite ban, as multiple accounts are permitted on Wikipedia. I did not create this new account to circumvent 3RR or any other Wikipedia policies. I merely created this account because I was editing using an anonymous IP which was not desired. I understand why I was initially blocked months ago, and have accepted why that judgement was made, but I feel it is an abuse of power and censorship to block me again, without giving me a chance to explain. I apologize if this was seen as an attempt at abusing multiple accounts, but I merely wished to create a new account after my ban had expired. There was nothing malicious intended in doing so.

Decline reason:

This is the block log of your original account, and it shows that the block on it had not expired when you created this new account (it's an indefinite block, so it does not expire). Creating a new account while your existing account is blocked is not permitted, as it is you the person prohibited from editing. If you wish to be allowed to edit Wikipedia, you will need to request an unblock on your original account. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 08:22, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

The ban on the IP address was a temporary block, and not indefinite. I think after being banned for several months, I should be given a chance to have my initial block rescinded. I am unable to edit the talk page of DifensorFidelis, and I also no longer am interested in using that account. Therefore, I am only able to appeal against the block using this account. Considering that the block, as you say, is against the person and not the accounts, there is no reason to not review my appeal against the block here in a fair and unbiased manner.

Decline reason:

We will not consider an unblock request from a second account that was used to evade the first block. You must make this request from your original account. HighInBC Need help? {{ping|HighInBC}} 17:11, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A few things...

The IP block was of fixed duration because IP addresses are frequently re-assigned to other people and are therefore almost never indefinitely blocked - that does not mean that you, the operator of a blocked account, are free to create a new account when the IP block expires.

While your ability to edit at User talk:DifensorFidelis was indeed revoked, you were given instructions how to continue with your appeal if you so wished (via WP:UTRS). But since then, that account's block settings have been changed and talk page access has been restored, so you should be able to edit there again.

Wherever you are allowed to request unblock, you still need to address the behaviour that led to your indefinite block in the first place. You might get an admin willing to consider your appeal here rather than at your original account, but you will not get one willing to unblock you without your addressing that behaviour. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 09:00, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I am asking for the block to be rescinded for this account. I did not follow the other methods for appealing a block because they involve contacting people through e-mail, and I do not like allowing administrators or others to have more information on my personal details. In any case, I no longer have an interest in continuing to use the account for User:DifensorFidelis. I have already made it clear that I understand the wrongful actions which led to the previous block of that account months ago, have apologized and can assure you that such behaviour when editing will not happen again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Veritas2016 (talkcontribs) 10:45, 9 June 2016‎
This account was never allowed to be created in the first place, because you were already blocked. As such we will not be unblocking it. Use the account your were first blocked under to appeal, or not, but you can't do it with this account. HighInBC Need help? {{ping|HighInBC}} 17:13, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
This account was not created to circumvent the block. The block on the IP address had ended, and I created this account because I no longer wished to use my previous account. I still wish to appeal against the block against me, including with that account; however, I no longer wish to user the previous account. I wish to use this new one. Wikipedia allows for users to create new accounts, or even use multiple accounts, as long as they are not used to circumvent blocks or make multiple edits of the same material. I wish to use this account now only, and thus am appealing the block against me, the person, and wish for the block on this account to be lifted. Veritas2016 (talk) 11:37, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This account was created to circumvent a previous block. In this case, on DifensorFidelis (talk · contribs). It would be inappropriate to lift the block against either your accounts or against you as a person, at this time. Yamla (talk) 13:25, 11 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Wikipedia does allow for users to create new accounts as long as they are not used to circumvent blocks - but as you have been told multiple times, the fact that your original account is still blocked means that you were circumventing a block, and so this new account is not permitted. And I have already explained why the fact that the IP block has expired is not relevant - it was a block of a short finite duration purely because it might soon not belong to you any more. Given that you are refusing to listen, I have now revoked your ability to edit this talk page - the reviewing admin is free to reinstate it if they think your current unblock request has merit. But if they don't, then you must request unblock on your original account, whether you intend to continue using it or not - if you can successfully appeal the block on that account, you can then request a rename, or to use this account instead, or whatever you want.
