Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Vchitto, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Problematic edits

[edit]

Hi Vchitto. Your additions to the YAML article include passages copied verbatim or nearly verbatim from this source. This was detected by automatic plagiarism detection software. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, your entire contribution has to be deleted. I would strongly recommend that you review the Wiki Ed training on copyright and plagiarism before editing further. Let me know if I can help you sort this out further. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 21:46, 7 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Referencing

[edit]

Nice work on the YAML article, but a lot of the content in the article appears to be unsourced. Every statement should have a supporting citation, so that the reader can connect the statement with the source. At minimum, each paragraph should have one reference, and the reference should come at the very end of the paragraph. Ian (Wiki Ed) (talk) 22:16, 21 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
