User talk:Vbooky
A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Vbooky, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.
If you can indicate why the page is not blatant advertising, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: Click here to contest this speedy deletion which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}
) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy deletion candidate). Doing so will take you to your user talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also edit this page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would help make it encyclopedic. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Passengerpigeon (talk) 10:57, 20 September 2014 (UTC)
You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.
If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice.
You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
below this notice. Thank you. JohnCD (talk) 11:14, 20 September 2014 (UTC)

[edit]The block notice above explains how to request an unblock in order to change username, or you can simply create a new account. However there are some things you should understand:
- Wikipedia accounts are for individuals only, who are personally responsible for them, so accounts whose usernames are the names of groups or organizations are not permitted. Your username can be related to your real name, or not, as you choose (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations) but should not be the name of another real person, or of any group or organization. A username like "James at Vbooky" would be acceptable, and would serve to declare your interest.
- User pages are for the individual contributors to say something about themselves and their Wikipedia work. They are not for substantial content... that is unrelated to Wikipedia. Even with a new account, your user page would not be a place to write about your website.
- Wikipedia is not a place for people or groups to "tell the world" about themselves, and is very resistant to anything that looks like promotion. Even with a new username, in editing about Vbooky you would have, from Wikipedia's point of view, a WP:Conflict of interest, and should read that page and the Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide. In brief, don't edit directly about your website, but you may submit a draft via WP:Articles for creation for an uninvolved user to review.
- Wikipedia is quite selective about subjects for articles. The test for inclusion is called Wikipedia:Notability and is not a matter of saying so but has to be demonstrated by showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Many quite worthy organizations, particularly new ones, cannot meet that test. Think hard about that before putting a lot of effort into this, because if you cannot show substantial independent coverage you will be wasting your time.
