Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Chennai Super Kings does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Arjun Tendulkar (cricketer). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – MS Dhoni. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at MS Dhoni. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Antila333 (talk) 06:28, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that Bhagavathi Yasha, a page that you created, has been tagged for deletion. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
  • It covers a topic on which we already have an article - MS Dhoni. (See section A10 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at MS Dhoni, or to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. A tag has been placed on KK Jiyas requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/K. K. Jiyas. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please engage in discussion on article talk pages or user talk pages. The content you are adding to IPL team articles is unnecessary in almost every case. In particular, adding squads to teams which no longer exist when you've been asked, via edit summaries, not to is extremely disruptive. Blue Square Thing (talk) 09:24, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Pune Warriors India shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Three revert rule

[edit]

Hi.

I know this account is new. You need to read WP:3RR and try to understand what it means. By my count, you've reverted other users edits at least seven times at Pune Warriors India and four times at Kochi Tuskers Kerala in the last 24 hours. This is one the things that we tend to consider to be a BIG DEAL around here I'm afraid.

In these cases, my objection to your edits are that the teams are both defunct. Neither has a squad or a coaching staff. It is frankly ludicrous to add them to the page in the way that you have.

If you want to discuss either the Thee Revert Rule or your edits then you should probably do so here. Thank you. Blue Square Thing (talk) 11:25, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I notice that with this edit and this edit that you've continued to edit war at Pune Warriors India and that you're doing the same with this edit at Kochi Tuskers Kerala. All of this without a single attempt to engage any other user.
I'll continue to add these occurrences here until you respond. Blue Square Thing (talk) 13:01, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And more edits that beach 3RR:
You're also at 3RR on other articles, but are refusing to engage in any discussion or even to leave meaningful edit summaries. Alongside your other behaviour noted above, this appears to indicate that you're clearly using Wikipedia as some kind of playground rather than to build something worthwhile. I understand that things are tricky just now. All we ask is that you engage in discussion with others and play by the rules. Blue Square Thing (talk) 14:39, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
And two more reverts on Pune and Kerala, here and here. Blue Square Thing (talk) 15:16, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
