Welcome to Wikipedia. Although we do not explain it as well as we should to new users at the time of joining, Wikipedia is not a site like Facebook for people to write about themselves, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography. It is a project to build an encyclopedia and, in order to maintain a neutral point of view, users are strongly discouraged from editing on any subject on which they have a conflict of interest. Also please note that Wikipedia is not the place to post your résumé. -- Alexf(talk) 14:41, 24 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Oracle Projects, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Alexf(talk) 11:56, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oracle Projects

[edit]

Hi, thanks for email. I deleted your article because

  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines.
  • It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: complete project management solution... It gives you a flexible approach to defining and managing your projects ... includes a variety of features central to the requirements of competent and efficient enterprise project management... It enables project managers to effectively oversee their projects... assess progress against predetermined milestones and budgets, staff their projects with appropriate talent, and quickly generate a wide variety of reports. It also helps virtual and globally distributed project teams to efficiently communicate, collaborate, and complete tasks... — and much, much more. It's a sales leaflet, not an encyclopaedia article, and there are no references at all, let alone ones that support your claims.

The fact that Oracle is a notable company doesn't mean you can write what you like about, with no sources and lots of spam Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:45, 25 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
