Hello. I most certainly read your edit before deleting it. It is not clear that the site skjbollywoodnews.com is a reliable source. What is clear that a lot of people (or just one person?) have recently been adding that site to articles in a very spammy fashion. If it turns out that the site is a reliable source and thus appropriate for Wikipedia then fine, we can use the site as a source but the actions of theses individuals, including you, apparently, is still problematic and very spammy looking. SQGibbon (talk) 15:12, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know nothing about skjbollywoodnews nor about Bollywood in general. What I do know is that articles about that topic get spammed a lot. And the behavior surrounding adding that site was just like the behavior with other obvious spam attempts. If you are confident that it is a reliable source, and it certainly might be, then feel free to add it back into articles. It is a relatively new site and there is a lot of effort being put into making sure it is plastered all over Wikipedia which even if it is a reliable source looks suspicious. But like I said, I do not know much about the topic so feel free to edit as you see fit. SQGibbon (talk) 15:42, 25 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest with your username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Vaibhav.times", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website which relates to the entity in question, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or accounts that are shared. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our Conflict of interest guideline and Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 06:18, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Gaurang Doshi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nastik (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Reverting old edits

[edit]

How did you revert old edit by 112.79.39.165 . I asked the same question in my talk page but the wiki administrator couldn't give any correct reply .

When i try to revert/undo some old edits , the message appears that The edit could not be undone due to conflicting intermediate edits; if you wish to undo the change, it must be done manually. But I have seen other editors have no problem in reverting old edits . How do they do that .

You can see this edit from the page Baby(2015 film) [1]

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
