Information icon Hello, I'm 2600:1002:B01C:9E5C:CCB3:C451:F59A:2351. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. 2600:1002:B01C:9E5C:CCB3:C451:F59A:2351 (talk) 23:41, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name appears to be a shared account

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Vahanfin", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you.

Your username appears to be the same name as a company providing fintech. Shared accounts are not allowed on Wikipedia, and role accunts are not allowed on Wikipedia. Each person writing material on Wikipedi must have their own accounts. These cannot be an account for a role, such as Vahanfin-CTO, instead it needs to be such as: Vahafin-VPFin-somesusersname or Vahafin-someusersname or simply someusersname.

Conflict of interest

[edit]
Information icon

Hello Vahanfin. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Vahanfin. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Vahanfin|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message.

Your username is the same as the name of a company that you are writing about. This appears to be a conflict of interest.

Your user page, User:Vahanfin/sandbox, has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be advertising which only promoted or publicized someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. [edit]
Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because your account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  • Provide a new username.

To do this, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked.

Please note that the new username you choose cannot already be taken and in use by another account. You can go here to search and see if the username you'd like to choose is available. If the search returns that no global account with that username exists, that means it is available to be taken.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. SpencerT•C 03:46, 9 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
