Welcome

[edit]

Hello, VDZ, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you very much for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

You might also want to consider changing your username before you get too invested in your current one. Although you are allowed to use just about any name, many Wikipedians encourage others to use real names. I would suggest that you do this. I can certainly understand that you might be uncomfortable using your real name online, but, in this case, I recommend that you choose an alias that resembles a real name. For instance, my name is Nat Krause, but I could just as well have a username such as "Eli Miller" or "Abe Sokolov".

If you are choosing a pseudonym, please do not use the names of famous people or fictional characters. An obscure literary reference is probably all right. As always, please avoid anything that could be considered offensive or inappropriate.

Note that, on Wikipedia, you can use spaces and capital letters; for instance, "T. K. Truong" is possible, rather than simply "tktruong".

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! - Nat Krause(Talk!) 20:54, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That's cool. Rock on, VDZ. - Nat Krause(Talk!) 18:57, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Making template parameters "optional"

[edit]

Hi - just a note: I've copied your template code to User:Xhantar/Template:Xhantar1 and made the changes I posted on the Help Desk there. Tested here, without including the |hunger = parameter, it seems to work, if I understood your question correctly. Hope that helps. —XhantarTalk 00:55, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Del Rev

[edit]

This is a substantial review, but if there is opposition, two reviews are generally asked for. But you should ask Marasmusine, Kylohk, & DarkSaber2k, because they were the leaders of the opposition. If one of them will back you, go ahead; that I will probably back you won't help that much. Suggestion, considering "Since October 2005, A Tractor has begun to run again", perhaps you should write the article as A Tractor--there is no reason not to use a well known older name. By the way, what's the connection with the song, if any ? DGG 20:22, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yu-Gi-Oh! Online

[edit]

Please don't recreate the article. Leave it as a merge. It's been through AFD, and the result was merge. Jauerback 18:52, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take it to deletion review. Jauerback 18:55, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of True Remembrance

[edit]

A tag has been placed on True Remembrance requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. --/Mendaliv//Δ's/ 22:54, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

UNICEF

[edit]

You made a great observation on the talk page, there are a lot of articles in Sankaku Complex blog as well as ANN about this. Do you think it's relevant to mention there yet, or is UNICEF still so important that it can block out criticisms? Tyciol (talk) 06:15, 17 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
