List of Americans killed during the Russian invasion of Ukraine

[edit]

You might be interested to chip in here [2], I was notified that someone has nominated the List of Americans article for deletion. EkoGraf (talk) 12:01, 1 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Same with the Poles now [3]. EkoGraf (talk) 16:18, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

US volunteers killed in Ukraine

[edit]

Hey there, regarding your edit here [4]. The Atlas report's figure includes the deaths of American civilians non-combatants. It states "Hamm joins the 47 other confirmed U.S. military veterans that have been killed in Ukraine as well as the five confirmed civilian U.S. volunteers that have been killed." Also, at the time of its publication, when I saw the Atlas report, I immediately recognised they were using the same figures that were on our (now-deleted) Wikipedia page of the list of Americans killed in Ukraine. At the time of Atlas' publication, there were 48 Americans listed in our Wikipedia article as killed soldiers, while 5 were listed as killed civilians (aid workers etc). Same figures Atlas reported. Also, I left the latest report you added regarding the missing guy who's body was now returned, but I am not entirely sure if it should be included. I saw the report myself earlier and didn't add it. Because of the possibility the unnamed soldier might be one of those we already counted as killed (named earlier). Up to you if you want to remove it now after my message. Cheers! EkoGraf (talk) 14:42, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here, tried to clarify as one reference [5][6], although still not sure we should included that missing-body-returned since I still think he may be one of the eaerlier reported dead/named. EkoGraf (talk) 15:30, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Seems I was right, the US Army veteran whos body was retrieved was said to have died in a drone strike near Bakhmut last year and that a number of Ukrainian soldiers were killed trying to retrieve his body. We have Army vet Jericho Skye Magallon [7] who was said to have died in a drone strike near Bakhmut last year and that a number of Ukrainian soldiers were killed trying to retrieve his body. And then there is this from several days ago [8]. EkoGraf (talk) 21:50, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New pro-Ukrainian foreigners killed

[edit]

Two new pro-Ukrainian foreign fighters killed confirmed only by non-RS at the moment - American[9] and Sri Lankan[10]. EkoGraf (talk) 15:15, 30 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

.Sri Lankan - Done.

Curently US national (Michael Paul Maldonado) and Brazilian (Murilo Santos Lopez) without proper source.Mr.User200 (talk) 02:50, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Added source for Maldonado, the pro-Ukraine FB memorial (replaced a Russian news site from earlier), so it should be ok. Non-RS for Lopez [11] and we got a new one - Australian Brock Greenwood [12]. EkoGraf (talk) 16:54, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All done, found another RS for a Colombian too.Mr.User200 (talk) 01:08, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Saw, great! :) I also found an older source for Brazilians (4 at the time) which mentioned one we didn't know about before. EkoGraf (talk) 13:28, 9 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did provide a reliable source. The Times of Israel reported on the IDF statement confirming Fuad Shukr's death. If the IDF wasn't sure Shukr was killed, they would have stayed quiet like they did with Mohammed Deif. Believe what you want and please stay out of my talk page. --Foxhound45 (talk) 22:30, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please be Civil, before starting to edit in English Wikipedia. The IDF and Saudi outlets are not Reliable enough to consider that living person deceased, you should wait for more Sources, reliabe btw, for a confirmation.Mr.User200 (talk) 22:33, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Colombians killed - unconfirmed (saved)

[edit]

Just in case they delete that article list as well, saving what we have left to yet confirm via RS (confirmed only via Telegram). We can continue updating at the main casualties article after if the list article gets deleted. Saving at your talk page, because you are much better than me at finding sources for the Latinos killed. :)

Missing Colombians

[edit]

Regarding this edit [38], the post [39] lists only three Colombians, not five? EkoGraf (talk) 17:33, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If its ok with you, I will reduce it in the article to three and remove the mention of the other two. Although I think I remember there being at least four listed in the post. Maybe they edited it or something? EkoGraf (talk) 20:58, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 53rd Mechanized Brigade (Ukraine), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Battle of Avdiivka.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 20:02, 29 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I view this edit at the TP to be WP:BATTLEGROUNDy and WP:UNCIVIL. Your edit to the article was reverted here. Your edit was challenged. Per WP:ONUS, reinstating the same material (here) without gaining consensus for the addition is edit warring. I note that you have been made C-TOP aware for Eastern Europe which covers this article and thereby are reasonably aware that a higher standard of conduct is expected. I suggest that you self-revert the subject edit to the article until and if a consensus is gained for its inclusion. I would also suggest that you strike your post to the TP and restart the discussion civilly. If you read my edit summaries, you will see that I have given reasons for my edits that are based on relevant guidance. Cinderella157 (talk) 09:32, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Never meant to be incivil to you Cindirella157. What called strongly my attention was the revert of both mine edits, by you on that article. Calling different justification or guidelines for each time. At first you said that since the body of the article didnt mention the Ukrainian unit (123rd) or its commander. My aditions should have been reverted. I added context on the article and expanded the role of that Ukrainoan unit, for you to revert me once again.Mr.User200 (talk) 17:10, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You appear to not be hearing what has been said here. Per WP:ONUS, you have edit warred. Your TP edit is seen as uncivil and battlegroundy whether you meant that or not because of the pejorative language used. It is not the way to start a collegiate discussion to determine consensus. You appear to be unwilling to remedy either of these two issues. Cinderella157 (talk) 23:47, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I never meant to hurt your feelings of cause you to suffer a bad time for my comment at the Talk Page of the aticle. I apologice for it, if that can help you feel better. However I still think you should elaborate better your edit summary in each one of your reverts. Because at the first glance both were different excuses to deliberately errase the content I added.Mr.User200 (talk) 22:27, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
There you go again using the term excuses which is pejorative. Cinderella157 (talk) 00:44, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
