[edit]I suggest you,if possible, to put this page or its link in the project page. Its helpful for new contributors from Nepal and also to intermediate editors like myself who need to reverify their sources.nirmal (talk) 10:37, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- CAPTAIN MEDUSA, this makes two. As I said to you then, I don't think it can be moved to project space because of how I have written it. Now, I think there will always be problems with trying to write an official-ish guide for the WikiProject, not that I'd have the time anytime soon, anyway. So, perhaps, linking to this essay from WikiProject Nepal is the best option here. So far as I know, personal essays are allowed to be linked to, as long as they are not misrepresented as having any kind of authority. So, maybe, we could find a place on the WikiProject page that new editors can easily notice it from, and link to this page from there? Best, Usedtobecool ☎️ 07:52, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Sources
[edit]Hi @Usedtobecool:, I am here again, Please tell me is nepaliactress.com is a reliable sources in the context of Nepal. Fade258 (talk) 00:11, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Hello @Fade258, thanks for reaching out. I do not see any evidence that the website is reliable. I would avoid adding it to Wikipedia. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 02:18, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. But most of the articles of Nepali actress uses this sources. Fade258 (talk) 10:10, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, almost all editors of Nepali articles pay no attention to what a given source is, as long as it says something usable. If you are asking for advice, the official recommendation from Wikipedia guidelines is to try and find reliable sources to replace them with. If that is not possible, for non-WP:BLPs, you can tag the citation with {{rs?}} or remove the citation and tag the claim with {{cn}} if it looks like the claim is true, or if it's the kind of claim even unreliable sources might get right, or if there is not a high cost to it being wrong. If it's a BLP, you should remove the source and the claim that it is cited for. I would recommend you look for replacement sources when it is essential for the existence of the article, like I did with Kabiraj Negi Lama. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 10:31, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. Sure, I will follow but it is quite hard to create the article related to Nepal as only 5-10 are realiable sources. Can i add the domain name that is not reliable in this page which you had created? Fade258 (talk) 11:26, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, but it will get better from here. A lot more things are online now than they used to be even two years ago. I create stubs when I can find reliable sources to show that a subject meets an WP:SNG, with the knowledge that we can expand them in the years to come. If you go to a large library and spend some time, you can find enough for any topic that you know is notable but can't find anything online. That is what I recommend if you must create an article on a certain topic now. There are like 10 Nepali editors and like 5 of them are WP:UPE, so I think we should not compromise with the quality of sources. Some iffy sources can be tolerated to fill in the blanks, but to establish notability, we must demand strong reliable sources. If we create a sound foundation for our project and its articles, even if they are few, it will have a positive effect in the long run.Yes, please add sources to this list that are missing. I will check them and edit them as necessary, and we can discuss any disagreements we have on this talk page. If it really takes off, we can invite other Nepal editors to join in. If we really have trouble agreeing on a source, there is always WP:RSN. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 12:55, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

Himshikhar Television
[edit]Hi @Usedtobecool:, I think this television's website will be considered as a relaible source. What's your thought on this? Please tell me your opinion. Fade258 (talk) 14:37, 21 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Fade258, it's a local TV, right? It is probably reliable but I don't think we should use it for notability. Regards! Usedtobecool ☎️ 03:19, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
- I think yes, It is a news channel of Damak of Jhapa District. Fade258 (talk) 03:43, 29 May 2022 (UTC)
