A tag has been placed on Serbian National League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Your question

[edit]

Hi, A couple of weeks ago you asked the question "WHY DID YOU DELETE THE SERBIAN NATIONAL LEAGUE FROM WIKIPEDIA... THE SERBIAN NATIONAL LEAGUE IS A NON FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION .... NOT BUSINESS....

Sincerely, Vladimir Djordjevic http://www.SrbNL.org"

The reason it was not answered is that you put it in the wrong place, and kept putting it in the wrong place until you were blocked :-(. But I just noticed the copy you put on top of the Helpme template. You should have put that one on this page with {{Helpme}} above it and someone would have replied here.

So, I am sorry it has taken so long to answer your question.

The article was deleted because the organisation was not considered notable enough to have an entry in an encyclopaedia (there are millions of organizations, this is not a directory service, so there needs to be criteria for inclusion) read the page Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). For your article to stay you will probably have to show that other significant sources have written about the organisation and then cite those articles as sources.

I hope that is some help :-) --Tony Wills (talk) 13:06, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Serbian National League requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Singularity42 (talk) 20:34, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As already explained to you when this article was first deleted, you have to show why the organization should be considered notable. Singularity42 (talk) 20:35, 9 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Linking

[edit]

When you link to a page on Wikipedia, just add [[Article Name|Text Displayed]] instead of what you did on Odbrana, Serbian Ultimate Self Defense System.--iBendiscuss 20:26, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Odbrana, Serbian Ultimate Self Defense System requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Glenfarclas  (talk) 20:28, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
