Welcome new user

[edit]

Hello, User:UpToTheMinute, I see you've opened an account and begun to make edits to the encyclopaedia with a thoughtful comment on the Energy article. Rather than make major changes to an article such as this which has a large community of interested editors you have chosen the correct path of opening a debate. When the time come to change the article I suggest a series of small steps rathar than a major rewrite would get the best reception.

You are most welcome as a new editor. Here's a standard welcome box with lots of useful links. I hope you get pleasure from editing and making Wikipedia an even better resource for the community. Wikipedia encourages new members to jump in and make corrections and contributions to articles. I myself found the Be bold guideline particularly encouraging when I was getting started. I also found the Wikipedia:Cheatsheet a useful quick reference for editing text.

If you have any questions about the project don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page here :- User_talk:Lumos3.

Happy editing,

Lumos3 (talk) 10:07, 7 July 2011 (UTC) , Wikipedia Welcoming Committee.[reply]

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Streetsville Secondary School appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you.
