Survivor: Samoa application reference
Please do not change the application reference link again. The correct link is the dead link. The link you are trying to add is for future seasons (21 and 22), not the current season. So even though the link is dead, the reference is correct. —Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:53, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
Re: Survivor: Samoa edits
Re your message: I removed it because I could not find any mention that he wrote the Survivor: Samoa theme on his website. Which section lists that as a credit? —Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:57, 22 November 2009 (UTC)
- Re your message: That will work. Sorry about being so hard on you with the references to the Survivor article. If you look at the history of the article, you will see a lot of people trying to spoil the game with wrong information that is totally unsourced. So I have a rather hard view on things that are added without references. —Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:56, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

Survivor: Tocantins tribe colors
Hi. This is the anonymous user that replied at the end of the "New Tribe Colors" section in the "Survivor: Tocantins" talk page. While I do agree with the old colors being too bright and inaccurate, I would like to propose a somewhat different set of colors. I used the OS color picker and picked those from the original Buff design pictures on CBSstore.com.
I would like if you may consider:
Jalapao |
Timbira |
Forza |
instead of:
Jalapao |
Timbira |
Forza |

Citation templates
I noticed that you have twice removed the use of the citation templates from Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains to a hard-coded style. The style of the citations used in past seasons of Survivor is to use the citation templates. The hard-coded style output that you used is very similar to the output of the citation templates, so I don't see any particular advantage of hard coding the style. If you think that the use of the citation templates should be changed, please bring it up on the talk page. Thanks. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:39, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

Re: Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains
Re: your message: I don't think semi-protection is needed at this time. It was pretty bad before the premiere with various anonymous IPs trying to spoil things with wildly different claims of who finished where. As I suspected, things settled down once the premiere was shown. If previous seasons are any indication, it will probably start up again when some popular player either gets voted off or makes some stupid move. You won't be able to semi-protect the page yourself as only administrators can do so. You would need to make a request at Request for Page Protection. There are at least three administrators who regularly follow the Survivor articles, so generally one of us catches too much vandalism going on and takes the appropriate actions necessary (blocks or protections). -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:27, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- Re your message: Convention has been to load The game table with the next episode when the name of the episode is known. For the ratings, the next row is added when the usual source, TV by the Numbers, has the ratings available. Usually that is fairly early in the morning the next day, but sometimes (like today), it is delayed. The biggest thing to watch on the ratings table is that all of the numbers need to be sourced as people tend to post all sorts of differing numbers. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:49, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- Re your message: I noticed that you had added that. For past seasons, two hours shows have been condensed into a single set of numbers covering both hours. You might want to wait awhile before fixing thing though. Nielsen ratings have both a preliminary and final set of numbers. It is better to wait for the final numbers before fixing everything. TV by the Numbers will have the final ratings later today. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:09, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
- As you can see, ChaosMaster16 changed the table to the usual format with the final numbers. The weekly ranks usually come out on Tuesday. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 22:38, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Re your message: The format of the articles has indeed involved over the seasons to what it is now (your example with Guatemala has to do more with somebody not completing the work to make it look like the current season than being inconsistent). I still don't think it is necessary to note why there was a schedule change as I don't think it matters all that much. Sometimes an episode will shift to Wednesday or skip a week for whatever reason. But bring it up on the talk page and see what other editors think about it. If it is decided to be included in the article, I think it shouldn't belong in the Nielsen ratings in an effort to explain ratings changes, but instead in the Game table. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:55, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- Thank you for leaving a message. The reason why wikipedia usually uses two decimal places is because of various reasons. First, the reference, TVBTN, and PiFeedback forums, use two decimal places. Second, two decimal places usually is more pleasing to the eye. If the number is 12.309, rounding it up would save room and time. 12.31 is straight and to the point. 1-5 is rounded down. 5-9 is rounded up. If I mis interpreted your question or if u have any more, please feel free to message me.ChaosMaster16 (talk) 14:57, 18 April 2010 (UTC)ChaosMaster16

Template:Double space
{{helpme}}
The two templates Template:Double space and Template:Space double are used to format quotation marks in a manner to separate them from quotation marks used in a link. How can I get this to work for apostrophes? This is mainly for citation templates, in which the website is put in quotes; however, some web titles have apostrophes at the first word, and I need to make this easy to read. How can I get the citations to look like the following (this is what it would look like as an actual reference list):
- ^ Dehnart, Andy. "'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' ... etc.
instead of...
- ^ Dehnart, Andy. "'Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains' ... etc.
I hope y'all can understand what I'm asking for. Thanks! —Untitledmind72 (let's talk + contribs) 01:27, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Why can't you use Template:Double space in the cite, as you have done above with Template:" ' AKA Template:Double single? What article is this for? (leaving the helpme template in case someone else has a better idea) — Jeff G. ツ 01:42, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Because the quotation mark is part of the citation template already. I think perhaps
{{'}}
is what you're looking for, as it includes a 0.1em space to the left of the apostrophe. However, there doesn't seem to be an equivalent version with space to the right. (leaving the helpme template in case someone else has a better idea) --Darkwind (talk) 01:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
- Because the quotation mark is part of the citation template already. I think perhaps
- Why use the apostrophe at all? Looking at Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains ref. 3 says,
<ref name="realityblurred">{{cite web|last= Dehnart|first= Andy |url= http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/survivor_20/2009_Jun_12_production_schedule|title= Survivor 20 will shoot immediately after Survivor: Samoa, probably also in Samoa|date= June 12, 2009|accessdate= July 6, 2009}}</ref>
- Why use the apostrophe at all? Looking at Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains ref. 3 says,
- (Marked this as done; use another {{helpme}} if that doesn't answer)
Ah - hold on; I see what you mean now; I didn't quite understand from the above truncated example. So, you can use "nowiki" - like this.
title = ''<nowiki>'</nowiki>Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains<nowiki>'</nowiki>'' ready to spar
OK? If not, reinstate the helpme. Cheers, Chzz ► 02:46, 20 April 2010 (UTC)

Actually, it could probably be tweaked a bit more. I just thought the additional row was somewhat redundant, but there is probably a better solution. Orphaned non-free image File:Survivor.australia.logo.svg
Thanks for uploading File:Survivor.australia.logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. - I saw your question about your traced logo. Just as a heads up, we generally discourage users from tracing logos themselves, as it is nearly impossible to accurately 100% recreate a logo. It may in fact even be illegal to make a redrawn knock-off, and claim it is the official logo. Large companies pay thousands and thousands of dollars and branding, and we should respect their vision and design. That said, it is often not that hard to locate official logos in vector format. Often PDFs contain the vector information that can be extracted. They may even have press and media packs with EPS files. So in summary, I'd ask you to consider not hand re-drawing or tracing logos, but instead source all branding content to official sources. Thanks for your consideration. -Andrew c [talk] 14:03, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:ORG logo.png
A tag has been placed on File:ORG logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Gettting Wikimedians to the Olympic Games
Hi. I am part of an effort to get Wikimedians access to the 2016 Summer Olympics as accredited reporters and photographers. Part of this effort includes covering the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Two Wikimedians have credentials to attend these games as reporters through Wikimedia Australia. As English Wikipedia does not allow original reporting, this is largely through Wikinews with a project page found at Wikinews:Paralympic Games. If you are interested in helping to get Wikimedians to the next Summer Olympics,I'd encourage you to assist with Wikinews efforts, and also to work on all language 2012 Summer Paralympic Wikipedia articles before, during and after the Games to demonstrate a track record of success. Thank you. --LauraHale (talk) 04:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
The article Slipstream (game) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unsourced and failing WP:GNG since 2010.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. McGeddon (talk) 20:29, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. The file File:S19logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
replaced by file:Survivor samoa season nineteen dvd region 1.png as lead image of Survivor: Samoa...
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Also:
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 10:00, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
