Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, UnknownUser1945802335, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Tobinworld, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Judy Weber Isarel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. —Largo Plazo (talk) 01:32, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Some help for you

[edit]

Hi. I don't think Judy Weber-Israel has enough written about her to qualify for an article on Wikipedia on her own. Wikipedia subjects have to be "notable", and Wikipedia says what that means for Wikipedia's purposes. That's all explained at WP:Notability. Even if she were notable, you spelled her name wrong! So "Judy Weber Isarel" wouldn't be a good title for the article.

About the Tobinworld article: It's a good topic for an article, but please understand that in an encyclopedia like this, an article isn't a place to write with excitement. Wikipedia articles have to be written in a neutral way. They also should stick to the subject, which is why I removed all the text you'd copied in about Glendale High School.

For a lot of information about creating articles, see WP:First article. Also, you might want to try out The Wikipedia Adventure. —Largo Plazo (talk) 01:39, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Largoplazo Sorry, I dont even know how Wikipedia Works! Its my first day on Wikipedia!

That's cool. As I said, that's a good reason to look around and learn how to make things happen! By the way, if you want to experiment, it's best to do that in your own user area, in your sandbox. See how to do that at WP:User subpages. —Largo Plazo (talk) 02:07, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 02:33, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The article SMFPJ20 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This does not appear to be appropriate encyclopedic content.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – John M Wolfson (talkcontribs) 23:46, 21 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

A few clarifications on how Wikipedia works

[edit]

Hello,

I've noticed you still have a few issues on how Wikipedia works and what we're about, so I'll try to clarify some things for you.

  • Wikipedia is an encyclopedia first and foremost; while we do have an active community building, maintaining, and supporting the encyclopedia, it is not a social media service. You are not obligated to be on Wikipedia, so if you wish to have a social media experience, it is best to go to a dedicated social media website such as Instagram or Twitter. That being said, if you love contributing to the sum of human knowledge and are interested in joining our community you are more than welcome subject to our policies and guidelines.
  • Wikipedia articles have to be on a notable subject, meaning that enough has been written on the subject in secondary sources to write a good article on it. In particularly, Wikipedia articles should not be about yourself, your friends or enemies, or social media trends that haven't yet gained traction. Wikipedia is a tertiary source, so we have to follow the lead of secondary sources rather than try to beat them.
  • I see you've already been directed to Your first article. In the future I highly advise you to submit an article through the Articles for Creation process instead of creating one right in the main article space, so you won't have to go through this again.
  • It is not acceptable for you to remove a speedy deletion tag on an article you have created, as you did with SMFPJ20. There is a button for you to fill out a reason why the article shouldn't be speedily deleted.

Hope this helps!
