Nze N'Ozo Traditional Institution: Okoro Liberates Umuahii-Mbieri From Clogs Of Marginalization. By Saviour Osuoha. Passionate about the rediscovery of his traditional values, together with the concern for the age-long sanction against Umuahii people over holdership of the reverred 'Nze N'Ozo title'in Mbieri clan, Mbaitoli LGA of Imo state,a United States of America,USA-based business man and indegene of Umuahii village, Chief Richmond Okoro,was on Saturday, January 22,2022, confered with the'Nze title',thereby liberating his people from the clogs of Marginalization to that effect.

Speaking in an interview with journalists after the installation ceremony which took place at the Orie-Mbieri market square,Nze Richmond Okoro,said that the urgent need to allay the fear of Marginalization in the people of Umuahii, Obi-Mbieri Autonomous community over holdership of the title reputed as'most sacred in the Igbo nation,as well as, make them feel belonged in the scheme of things regarding the'Nze N' Ozo tiltleship' in Mbieri clan,largely informed his decision in taking up the title as its first holder in Umuahii, Obi-Mbieri community.

According to him, after several consultations with prominent Nze title holders and stakeholders of the Mbieri traditional institution, notable among whom is Nze Ethelbert Eronini,on whether or not the village is duly qualified to field Nze N'Ozo title holders like any other village in the area,it was gathered that Umuahii village is at liberty to produce an 'Nze', hence,her people did not cause,or,commit any sacrilegious act against the sanctity of the Nze N'Ozo sacred traditional institution in the past.

He further hinted that,his on-going initiation process into the sacred 'Nze Na Ozo confraternity'in Igbo land,marks a monumental milestone in the history of people of Umuahii in Obi-Mbieri community,emphazing that, his membership shall help in strengthening the traditional values of his people as co-custodians of the culture and tradition in Igbo land. He however,noted with satisfaction that, with his installation as'Ogbughoro Uzo Nze1',the age-long jinx has been broken, giving the edge to Umuahii people (those entitled to the Nze N'Ozo title-holdership) to revive and sustain it in the years ahead.

Chief Okoro also pledged to effect positive changes in ensuring that the original place of the Nze N'Ozo Traditional Institution in Mbaitoli LGA is restored, by making meaningful contributions to meetings of the forum of Mbaitoli LGA's Council of Ndi Nze,Imo state,and the entire south-east region in Nigeria.
