Hello. Could you please take a look articles Catapulta and Catapult ? Do we really need two different articles ? Probably one of them should be just redirected to another ? What do you think ? --Movses (talk) 12:03, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- @Movses: I'm intrigued that you came to me about this. I never edited either article (to my memory) and I'm no expert on Roman siege equipment, hence I don't comfortable commenting about this. Maybe you should bring this up on the talk page of catapult? Cheers. _dk (talk) 12:42, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
- I used page xtools-articleinfo, but unfortunately I missed to take into account column "last edit". Sorry for disturbing :-) Your contribution on this article was just revertions after vandalism. --Movses (talk) 13:25, 18 May 2015 (UTC)
Pinyin warrior has me worried
I see that you had reverted one of 76.167.232.59 (talk · contribs)'s bad edits way back on May 21st. I have been working backwards from 'now' and am somewhat overwhelmed. Especially since I've come across a couple more IP6 'editors' doing similar vandalism of Pinyin pronunciation.2606:6000:CA80:1600:9D45:7F4:BC05:D2C5 (talk · contribs) 2606:6000:CA80:1600:39A0:FC13:636C:C329 (talk · contribs)
Have you seen much of this? This bad!? I mean, changing Pinyin pronunciations inside the Pinyin article itself? That's seriously @#*^%ed! I'm not sure where to take this to... :-/ Shenme (talk) 06:41, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- I've also asked User:Benlisquare for ideas, because they'd also reverted some of the same IP's edits, and because this has been going on since at least Mar 1st! (Sorry for the commotion here) Shenme (talk) 07:05, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- Ah, well then, I can go to sleep! :-) I'll know to watch out for this, and sorry for the commotion. Shenme (talk) 07:08, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
- @Shenme: No worries :) The IP is probably a Taiwanese editor, judging by the topics they tend to change the pinyin in. Romanization is something of an identity issue in Taiwan since pinyin is seen to be Mainland Chinese (or "communist"), despite the Taiwanese government officially switching over to pinyin a few years ago. You can imagine how emotional people can get about this. Since Belinsquare seems to have given an answer, there's not much for me to say, maybe post on the Wikiproject China for help if current measures prove inadequate. Cheers :) _dk (talk) 07:19, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

China Railway Stations
For instance, Qionghai Railway Station (spelling fix). -- Denis.arnaud (talk) 12:06, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Having fun?
Looks like you had some fun with our sockpuppet friend while I was away, and took care of everything. Nicely done! But I guess he'll be back soon. LDS contact me 16:49, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Lds: Man, you have no idea. Thankfully Ponyo has been very helpful in catching these socks and semi-protecting all the articles he touched, so that makes it a lot easier for us. It's good to have you back! _dk (talk) 21:09, 2 July 2015 (UTC)
Picture/civil discussion
Hey there. Rather than having a pointless edit war I thought I could just talk to you here. Plus if my behavior is actually disruptive I would not want to continue to be disruptive. (currently I disagree and believe that I am not disruptive). Why do you have a contention with me bringing the picture back? I have seen the talk page and the false stereotype(s) are all too present there. I believe the picture is appropriate because it adds context and helps the neutrality of the article. (plenty of people go to that forest to experience happiness it's not just sad suicides) oh and btw suicide is not an epidemic in Japan. I can also see this turning into a reference/source competition so if we have to go there so be it, but I hope we can resolve this much more easily. I await your reply here. Void burn (talk) 17:07, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Void burn: It's a forest, plain and simple. We have no mission to clear its name on Wikipedia, just present the facts as they are available to us. Thanks for initiating the conversation here. _dk (talk) 06:35, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

I've filed an SPI at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Anticomintern, he's come back under a different name. Same guy, same edits, even the username only has two different characters. --benlisquareT•C•E 12:06, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

- To be fair, it's just one really opinionated dude with a bit of spare time on his hands. He's disappeared for a few months after his indef, and suddenly decided that he'd come back today. I'd trust that the wider population of Hong Kong can demonstrate much greater maturity and refrain from vandalism, no matter the political climate. --benlisquareT•C•E 16:55, 9 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sanada Yukimura may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Checking In
Hey, champ. Been a whole lot busy over the years. Should have stopped in to say hi a little more, I reckon. Underbar dk? The fuck? It's always "Deadkid dk" here, bro. :P It's Gamer Junkie/The Cake is a Lie here dude. I'm amazed you've kept at it so long dealing with all of the nonsense I couldn't deal with. I'm finally ready to go another round. Hit me up if you're not too jaded yet, brother. Too bad we don't live closer. I'd shout you a beer. Cheers, brother. :) The Cake is a Lie T / C 17:11, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
- @The Cake is a Lie: Hahaha, underbar dk is just spelling out the signature I've always used, "_dk". The trick for me here is to choose my battles and don't give a fuck about most things; after all, why argue about whether to use BC/AD or BCE/CE when they mean the same thing? (just as an example, I know many who would gladly argue that to death). It's great to see an old accomplice here again! If you're ever in the Vancouver area, message me. Cheers dude :) _dk (talk) 00:13, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
