Abridged of Williams 1968

Williams (1970), pp. 44–45 "girl has stolen", flagitatio. "superbly imaginative poem", reader is left to realize from th epoet's intensity why the girl had his writing tablets anyway -- he had made an amorous propsal to her which she presumably rrejected.
