[edit]Hello UmbrellaTheLeef, I reverted the recent edits you made at the articles of several Byzantine Emperors, because, eventhough they were made in good faith, they were not constructive or improvements compared to the previous versions and according to wikipedia rules. The romanized/latinized versions of these people's names should remain bold at the lead near the title name (which is the transliteration of their Greek name) (see Bolding of title and alternative names). That is because these alternative versions are extremely common in english-language literature, and as such most english-speaking readers will search for the individual using these romanized versions instead. That is also because, per the same rule, these names are all targets of redirect pages; e.g. Nicephorus II Phocas for Nikephoros II Phokas. Finally, having the "latinized" version of ones name in the lead is not meant to say that this was the person's native name, so generally adding Latin:(name) in a parenthesis for individuals who weren't native speakers and lived at a time when latin was long a dead language, is, per wikipedia standards, essentially a form of original research or at best just redundant.
I decided to inform you about it, so that you wouldn't question what the motive behind the reverts is. Piccco (talk) 00:04, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I am sorry I was not aware of this guideline. UmbrellaTheLeef (talk) 01:11, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- It's okay, all good. Piccco (talk) 01:17, 10 March 2024 (UTC)

[edit]URGENT! Please immediately stop moving articles to new names of your own personal choice without discussion first. Begin by replying here ! Sorry for shouting, but you are doing serious damage to Wikipedia. We discuss just aboit everyrthing before we make any considerable changes. Use talk pages! SergeWoodzing (talk) 21:50, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- I understand. I will refrain from making any bold moves without discussion in the future. UmbrellaTheLeef (talk) 22:16, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
- You are still making incorrect page moves. Please, double-check the spelling and namespace before you move a page on the project. Liz Read! Talk! 01:48, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
